Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Management:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic account plans for a defined list of named accounts, focusing on retention, expansion, and revenue growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for C-level and senior-level client stakeholders.
- Identify and close new business opportunities within existing accounts by deeply understanding their pain points and aligning our solutions to their strategic objectives.
- Sales & New Business Development:
- Proactively prospect and identify new opportunities within the policing and justice sectors, navigating complex government and public sector procurement frameworks.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and close, ensuring a smooth and successful customer journey.
- Collaborate with pre-sales engineers, product teams, and professional services to create compelling proposals and demonstrations that showcase our value.
- Domain Expertise & Market Intelligence:
- Maintain a current and in-depth knowledge of the UKI policing and justice landscapes, including key initiatives, budgets, and technology trends.
- Represent the company at key industry events and conferences, acting as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador.
- Provide market feedback to our product and marketing teams to ensure our solutions and messaging are aligned with customer needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior sales or account management role, with a strong track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
- Essential experience selling technology solutions to the UK police, justice, or defence sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of UK public sector procurement processes, frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, DOS), and legal requirements.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with senior public sector officials.
- A strong understanding of the operational and data security challenges faced by law enforcement agencies.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
