About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced senior mobile designer and collaborator on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, with an amazing, hands-on, track record crafting and building world-class products. A specialist expert in crafting native applications for both iOS and Android platforms, to support the next development phase of our mobile apps. 
 
The focus will be conducting effective product design process from discovery, ideation to execution in order to uplift our mobile app experience. The work will range from our app homepage, deals feed and more, to our conversational UI for AI.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Working across multiple squads ensuring the design and vision work is aligned and consistent. 
  • Supporting the app design lead to progress the app design vision work in order influence roadmaps for the app tribe, working closely with other designers from connected teams. 
  • Being hands-on with app design craft and leading by example on user-centric, innovative app experiences. 
  • Elevating the quality and design craft of the app, ensuring consistency and seamlessness of interactions and end to end flows. 
  • Elevating the user experience of the app through native operating system features, motion (micro interactions), haptics, sound. 
  • Collaborating with the design system team to refine and enhance the design system on iOS and Android, get the most from native operating system features, and appropriately leverage platform specific interface conventions. 
  • Collaborating between teams including Product, Engineering, Content and User Research to achieve business KPI's. 

Key Skills:

  • Strong background and portfolio designing for native mobile apps (iOS and/or Android).
  • Experienced working in mobile led environments, solving difficult product challenges across platforms and use cases to deliver experiences users love.  
  • Strong hybrid skillset across UX, interaction design and UI, with specific experience and examples to demonstrate exceptional delivery of and a high bar for app design craft. 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of platform standards (Apple HIG and Material Design), operating system capabilities and constraints, and awareness of mobile app development processes. 
  • You have worked with design systems and collaborated effectively with user researchers, content designers and localisation experts. 
  • A problem solver and advocate for user-centric design solutions and processes. 
  • Have a good understanding of how great design drives key business KPIs, such as conversion rates, as well as overall business OKRs. 
  • Highly analytical, with a structured problem-solving approach. Being metrics driven, you will embed a culture of data and fact-based decision-making across the design team. 
  • Solid understanding and experience of A/B testing, user testing, user research, including when to experiment, test setup, and interpretation of results. 
  • Master of the tools of your trade, such as Figma, Miro, and prototyping software. 
  • A fantastic communicator, accustomed to working collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams. 
  • You have a track record of delivering projects that users love. 
  • You’re passionate and empathetic - you fall in love with problems, not solutions. 

Portfolio Criteria:

  • A portfolio with best-in-class native mobile app (iOS and/or Android) work that demonstrates your ability to shape broad conceptual ideas into desirable user solutions.  
  • We would also like to see your thought process from the hypothesis stage through the final result and the methodologies and frameworks you used. 


Following extensive surveys and workshops around our
teams needs and preferences, we’ve returned to our offices in a hybrid working pattern: typically that looks like two days in the office, flexible to an individual’s need. As such, this role would be a great fit for someone who lives within commuting distance of one of our UK and Barcelona offices.
