Position Title: Senior Microsoft Infrastructure and End User Compute Engineer
Location: Remote work from home in the United Kingdom
Duration: Six (6) Months at Forty (40) Hours Per Week
Hourly Rate: $65.00 US Dollars Per Hour
Work Hours: Must Work London, England based hours

Description:
We’re looking for a passionate Senior Microsoft Desktop / EUC Engineer with deep PowerShell scripting expertise to help us deliver and manage a new modern EUC Workplace for the entire company.
The Senior Microsoft Desktop / EUC Engineer will work closely within TechOps Workplace team covering all End-User Computing and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure services globally. In addition, this individual will partner closely with broader application teams across the enterprise architecture community to support their Microsoft EUC needs.
You’ll spend your time:
 

  • Delivering new Senior Microsoft Desktop / EUC projects & requirements.
  • Creating high-level and low-level designs for EUC.
  • Partnering with TSO (Technical Service Owner) to influence the roadmap for Microsoft Infrastructure and End User Compute services.
  • Conducting Impact Assessments to assess impact of key updates/changes and preparing environment to handle them.
  • Implementing production changes following Arganteal’s Change Control process to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing more complex Microsoft Infrastructure and End User Compute issues that cannot be resolved by L1 and L2 teams.
  • Creating and reviewing Workplace documentation.
  • Working with InfoSec on the implementation of the Microsoft End User Computing security roadmap.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize and modernize the EUC Architecture, driving cost efficiencies.
  • Identifying and positioning new Microsoft Infrastructure End User Computing technologies that yield competitive advantage.
  • Serving on various forums to analyse projects and programs to ensure they are technically sound, will do no harm, and will deliver the expected outcomes.
  • Establishing strong partnerships across the architecture community and Information Security, helping to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Where required, deep diving key initiatives to help overcome major incidents, complex problems and/or realise opportunities.
  • Embedding security, privacy, data protection and quality assurance across the Workplace estate.
  • Engaging in the community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire.


Preferred Experience:
 

  • Extensive experience across Microsoft Infrastructure and End User Compute
  • Expert PowerShell Scripting knowledge
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering environments.
  • Extensive experience in an operations environment, with a basic understanding of ITIL.
  • Extensive experience in technology project leadership, managing and advancing complex, global environments.
  • Extensive experience with the following technologies: Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Windows 10/11, iOS, macOS, Android, Windows 365 Cloud PC, SCCM, VMWare Horizon Cloud and On-Prem.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience
  • Experience working with public cloud services specifically Microsoft 365.
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience working with modern architecture methodologies (Service Orientated Architecture, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App, FAIR, etc.).
  • Demonstrated influence and communication skills across all levels of IT and third parties.
  • Demonstrated strength in facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result.
