Reporting line: Head of Commercial MI

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Group MI department, in a transforming and growing business. The Group MI team works closely with and produces reporting throughout the business, to our clients and up to Board level, to aid business decision making and to understand performance & trends. This role requires the holder to play a key part in delivering MI solutions to the rest of the organisation on behalf of the MI team. The workload features tight deadlines and the delivery of purpose-built analyses. This role will suit an individual that is looking for a challenging role that will have a high impact at the heart of business matters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver MI solutions to meet the defined needs of key stakeholders across a range of technologies

  • Deliver MI Solutions to agreed scope and within set timelines, always ensuring robustness and integrity

  • Seek continuous improvement on quality and efficiency around Group MI processes, particularly around month end activity.

  • Ensure robust control & governance around data to ensure quality of MI

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business

  • Continuously seek to learn & improve capabilities through new technology & products available or required for the MI team.

Skills and experience required:

You will already have relevant experience within an MI development / Data Analyst position with:

  • The ability to produce analysis from large data sets to a high standard and on time

  • SQL programming / data wrangling experience 

  • Knowledge of Data Bricks and PowerBI (desirable)

  • Problem solver & critical thinker

  • Advanced MS Office applications

  • Collaborative & inclusive

  • Strong decision making and judgement, escalating where appropriate.
