Job Description

The UK Personal Health PR, Media & Influencer Manager is responsible for shaping the external reputation of Philips Personal Heath in the UK through 'always on' media & influencer relationships.

The purpose of this exciting UK Personal Health PR, Media & Influencer Manager shape the external reputation of Philips Personal Heath, in the UK, through editorial media & influencer relations.

As a collaborative team, we are looking forward to you joining us in our new vibrant and exciting offices in Farnborough, Hampshire, working in an agile working environment.

You are responsible for:

Consumer Understanding

  • Understanding the ‘Consumer Decision Journey’ and taking a proactive and leading role in advising internal stakeholders on the effective use of PR within the activation mix.

Setting Strategy

  • Development of strong always-on and pro-active PR plans, aligned with business objectives and campaign calendars.

  • Playing a pivotal role in shaping the communication & activation Strategy for the Philips Brand, and the separate Business Categories that operate within it, to ensure consistency & relevancy.

  • Setting the KOL and Influencer Strategy for the Personal Health businesses.

  • Briefing & Implementation.

  • Briefing, preparing and implementing local PR campaigns in line with the marketing and communication strategy, whilst following relevant corporate guidelines.

  • Integration and coordination of global/EU content into local activation plans and calendars.

  • Campaign & Agency Management.

  • Setting, measuring and tracking KPIs against predetermined targets, ensuring that our PR initiatives deliver to objectives.

  • Optimisation of digital campaigns as part of the brand and PR mix.

  • Budget management and the integration of this with the total Marketing budget.

Teamwork

  • Teaming up with stakeholders across the Philips business (B2C & B2B) to ensure consistency in our communications approach across ‘the Philips brand in the UKI

  • Working as part of a networked European Organisation to drive PR best practices across Europe.

Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Strong internal stakeholder management, from UK/EU Leadership Team to Local Category Marketing Managers.

  • Sharing regular updates on the performance of PR activities across the Organisation.

  • Reputational Risk Management.

  • Acting as local spokesperson for media enquiries and communicate professionally in crisis situations and in other situations in which issues arise which could result in a lasting damage to the Philips company reputation.

The role will work closely with the PH Category Marketing Teams, the Local PH Media Activation Team, European and Global PR as well as with the Health Systems PR Manager and brand team business to ensure a strong brand strategic alignment across Philips HealthTech.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • 7+ years experience in a Media role, with a focus on Business to Consumer (B2C).

  • Aptitude to drive rather than follow strategy.

  • Willingness to work collaboratively and team up with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects.

  • Digital understanding – Influencers, social media etc.

  • Autonomous attitude – capable of setting own agenda and develop an internal/external network.

  • Strong stakeholder management of external agencies.
