Job Description

The Senior Marketing Executive, Commercial is an important role in our Communications and Sponsorship team and is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Real Estate and Retail Mortgage Marketing Plan. You will help shape and deliver critical components of the marketing strategy by responding to briefs from Strategy. Creating and delivering campaigns and collateral with the support of a range of internal and external resources, and managing day-to-day relationships with our internal clients to deliver highly impactful campaigns and communications.

Our approach to supporting Shawbrook’s strategic goals is to:
a) build awareness of the brand, b) demonstrate our credibility and expertise, and c) to create opportunities to engage with and influence brokers, customers, prospects and partners.

Our range of marketing communications and campaign activity, coupled with our content and collateral to support broker and customer engagement, is critical in delivering this approach, with the ultimate aim to strengthen key broker relationships, improve broker productivity and build deeper engagement with our book of property investor customers.
Reporting into the Snr Marketing Lead – Commercial, you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a broad range of elements of the overarching Group property marketing plan, both independently, and with the support of the wider communications team.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Leveraging our external suppliers and internal tools and teams to create brilliant marketing communications that deliver upon the strategic objectives for the division
  • Deliver activity that drives awareness of the Shawbrook Group Real Estate finance proposition to the broker community, including leading on the creation of regular content across communications, collateral & brochureware, social media, advertising, and events. You will also support on key elements of our SME Lending proposition using the same spread of channels.
  • Bring a spirit of innovation and creativity to the design and delivery of our communications, always searching for better ways to bring the brand to life through incredible campaigns
  • Care deeply about learning through measurement – assess the effectiveness and impact of the communications that we deliver to inform future activity
  • Work with internal clients across the business to manage the deliver process of tactical activity plans to ensure a timely delivery and that the outputs meet with the objectives of the brief
  • You will support the day to day administration of the Commercial Marketing budget, including being responsible for components of it
  • You will also be familiar with working in a regulated sector and the importance of delivering within a highly professional environment. Taking our responsibilities to always treat customers brilliantly is also deeply ingrained in everything we do – including the communications that we deliver adhere to Financial Promotions standards.
  • You will work closely with the Snr Marketing Leads to build and maintain strong working relationships with the business units that we support, supporting the successful delivery of the business plan and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a marketing role with a focus on communications in the Property and/ or Business Finance space preferable
  • Highly proficient in creating communications within a regulated environment and delivering to high standards of accuracy and transparency
  • Proficient in collecting and analysing measurement and optimisation data and working with wider insight and data teams to measure effectiveness
  • Experience in managing multiple activities and the need to effectively prioritise and manage resources, as well as managing a diverse range of stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in property and business finance, together with a willingness to continuously build upon knowledge and capabilities
  • Experience of managing budget processes and using reporting tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and brilliant, practical planning skills
  • Track record of developing strong internal networks and of building and nurturing engaged communities
  • Banking industry and business understanding

  • Experience of successfully managing competing priorities and managing stakeholder expectations
