Job Description

The Senior Marketing Associate – VIP Relations is a motivated, resourceful and responsible individual who relishes in working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a team. We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, outgoing professional who is a real team player and has excellent communication skills.

Based within the Industries Portfolio, the Senior Marketing Associate will be responsible for delivering VIP marketing programs across our world-class portfolio of events.

Creating, defining, and developing impressive campaigns with the ultimate objective of attracting the biggest names in tech to engage, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of VIP managers and marketers.

You’ll need to love coming up with creative ideas to engage prospective VIP attendees and using data to create successful, insight-led campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordination of VIP activities in liaison with the Head of VIP and Event Directors.
  • Work closely with the Audience Marketing and Production teams to grow the VIP audience and adapt messaging for VIPs attending the event.
  • Expand the offering and strategy for the VIP audience in conjunction with the Head of VIP and Event Directors
  • Invite targeted VIPs to attend key shows within the Industries Portfolio (telecoms, public safety and automotive industries).
  • Contact selected individuals by email and other formats to discuss attendance and securing their participation in various structured networking / social sessions.
  • Ensure VIPs are looked after and participate in the proposed networking/social programme.
  • Ensure that VIPs have a superior customer experience throughout the campaign.
  • Work with the event sponsors to maximise the participation of their clients in the event.
  • Administration work in the lead up to the event, including registration system, calendar invites and excel lists for attendees of various networking functions within the event.
  • Build strong relationships with these key VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
  • Help to organise VIP Dinners, Breakfast Briefings, Lunches and Closed-Door Meetings and securing VIP attendance at these functions and formats.
  • Support to deliver the One to One Meeting Service (physical and digital), in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP (and other key stakeholder) passes.
  • Work alongside the sales team to identify where we can grow revenues relating to VIP activities

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge and effective use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

• Proven industry/Market Pillar knowledge

• Effective identification and targets of relevant market segments.

• Good inter-personal relationship building and relationship management skills. Must be able to have client facing conversations both with the buyside delegate audience, and sponsors and exhibitors.

• Understanding of what is deliverable to strict timelines, and the ability to communicate and manage expectations with sales and their clients.

• Engaging at a senior level, building long lasting relationships, solutions selling with highly developed negotiation skills.

• Data Analytical Skills – Ability to review data sets and identify relevant leads.

• Growth in new engaged C-Suite audience

• Growth in overall buyside attendees

• Growth in contracted deliverables success

• Growth in no. of attendees from each account

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to network with senior industry figures
  • Hardworking and diligent
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Proven ability to use initiative when required and to go ‘above and beyond’ in order to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Time management with an ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and a collaborative mindset
