About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

As the Director owning the Solutions Architecture Team, you will guide and inspire a group of Technical Architects who provide deep technical and subject matter expertise across our AI portfolio. You will cultivate a growth mindset, empower team members to excel, and foster a collaborative culture while also functioning as a player-coach, contributing strategic insights and solving complex technical challenges as needed.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Team Development & Coaching: Hire, mentor, and evaluate a diverse team of Technical Architects; build an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Solutions leadership, Sales, and cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Partners) to align AI resources to the highest-value opportunities.

  • Player-Coach Role: Serve as a customer concern point for sophisticated sales engagements, providing direct solutioning support around AI/ML, data pipelines, and CRM integrations.

  • Resource Coordination: Prioritize and allocate specialist resources to meet field demand; ensure the right expertise is on hand for strategic opportunities.

  • Program & Initiative Leadership: Plan and implement critical initiatives that improve team effectiveness—such as enablement programs, new demo environments, workshops, or AI/ML standard methodologies.

  • Deal Participation: Join key customer meetings and pursuits to drive solution strategy, clarify solution design, and articulate business value.

  • Thought Leadership & Enablement: Guide solution strategies for your team and encourage the creation of architectural standard processes, demos, training materials, and proof-of-concepts—particularly around Agentforce’s AI/ML capabilities, Generative AI, and agent-based frameworks.

  • Collaboration & Relationship-Building: Nurture relationships with cross-functional groups, ensuring alignment on product capabilities, sales priorities, and customer needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Leadership in Solutions Architecture: Proven experience leading or coaching technical teams (architects, solution engineers, or related roles) within B2B SaaS or enterprise software.

  • AI, Data, & CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with AI/ML, data platforms, and CRM (Salesforce or comparable), with the ability to articulate both technical feasibility and business value.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable aligning with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, Marketing) and engaging with executive-level audiences.

  • Project & Program Management: Experience planning and executing initiatives that scale solution teams’ impact—such as enablement and tool development.

  • Communication & Strategy: Skilled in presenting sophisticated ideas, defining solution approaches, and driving consensus.

  • Strategic & Growth Mindset: Demonstrated ability to encourage teams, foster innovation, and adapt to evolving technologies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior Solutions Management Experience: Background in managing architects, solutions engineers, or other technical support roles.

  • Customer-Facing Demos & Engagement: Experience presenting to enterprise customers, building demos, and supporting sales processes.
