Job Description Summary:

A successful Strategic Investments Senior Manager can execute a strong finance strategy in partnership with the OU Category Leads to drive growth and value creation.

What You’ll Do for Us:

Partner with Category Investment Director, Category Teams and other OU Leaders to support all financial needs of one of the larger OU Category teams, driving alignment across multiple stakeholders, and to develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities, including:

  • Partner with OU Category leads on the assessment and implementation of global strategies including portfolio rationalization, investment strategies, brand acquisitions and divestitures, etc.
  • Benchmarking across other OUs, competitors and peer companies
  • Assess financial implications related to new business models, tax law changes or proposals, competitor actions and reactions
  • Development and communication of profit pool analysis across categories, markets, brands, etc … including emerging trends
  • Category and brand performance against key business metrics, including analysis of material variances
  • Reporting on investment levels and ROI metrics
  • Development and communication of insights and trends across categories, markets, brands, etc, including competitive insights and analysis
  • The Strategic Investments Manager is an individual contributor

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Significant business partnering experience in senior financial planning or senior commercial or operational finance roles
  • Highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Role model the “Leadership in the Network” definition
  • Provide holistic understanding of category performance across the OU
  • Execute and deliver on all financial needs of the Category teams, working cross functionally inside the OU and coordinating with the other OUs and the Center.
  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across Franchise/Zone/OU
  • Deliver core financial strategies, practices and solutions, to grow business in a sustainable way
  • Coordinate with Platform Services to ensure proper reporting of brand and category P&Ls and to drive operating effectiveness within the OU by improving data, tools and processes
  • This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics
