As Trustpilot continues its journey of growth as a global leader in customer reviews, we’re seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Director of Sales Compensation to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee commissions for over 400 commercial employees across 8 offices worldwide, shaping our compensation strategies as we expand.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of FP&A, you will have an integral role in aligning our sales compensation strategy with broader business objectives. You will guide a global team in the design and execution of sales incentives, strategic planning, quota management, and more. With team members across multiple countries, this role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and HR, making a meaningful contribution across the organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure accurate and timely calculations of commission payments for over 400 commercial employees globally
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine compensation plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and financial priorities
  • Conduct cost modeling to evaluate the feasibility and financial impact of new commission plan design elements and target changes
  • Oversee recurring audits of commission statements prior to payment release, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of plan calculations. Implement and formalize internal controls.
  • Address commission-related inquiries from sales team members, initiating data investigations as needed and communicating resolutions promptly
  • Provide regular training sessions to the sales organization on commission plan updates, targets, and how to navigate the Forma.ai platform
  • Build reports and actionable insights, facilitate process improvements, and champion automation to streamline operations and enhance the efficiency of the Sales Compensation function
  • Build collaborative and effective relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment and support on compensation initiatives
  • Oversee a team of 3 sales compensation analysts located in London, Copenhagen, and New York

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in sales compensation, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
  • Extensive background in overseeing decentralized teams with a commitment to creating a performance-oriented workplace.
  • Deep understanding of sales compensation plans, commission structures, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with hands-on experience using sales compensation tools such as Forma.ai, Xactly, or Varicent.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in cost modeling and financial impact analysis
  • Great attention to detail, especially when working with large datasets, transforming numbers into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with experience delivering training to large, global teams.
  • Adept at building rapport with colleagues of varied roles, ensuring transparent communication, and showcasing data in an impactful manner.
  • Extensive background in overseeing Service Desk tasks, compiling data reports, and implementing efficiency-boosting automations and process refinements.
  • Capable of juggling various tasks in a swiftly changing setting while ensuring precision remains uncompromised.
