Our brand is trusted by institutional and retail investors worldwide, backed by our Proof of Reserves and a commitment to security, transparency, and compliance.

About the Opportunity

As OKX expands across Europe, following our recent MiCA license approval, we are strengthening our second-line risk management function to support our next phase of growth in an evolving regulatory landscape.

We are seeking a Senior Manager to shape and scale our financial and non-financial risk frameworks, ensuring OKX remains at the forefront of risk excellence as we establish our presence under MiCA and beyond.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, Malta, you will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various domains. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to lead key risk initiatives while collaborating with teams such as Compliance, Legal, Security, Finance, Product, and Engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of OKX’s European expansion journey, helping to navigate risk in a rapidly evolving regulatory and business environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to support OKX’s expansion across the EEA under the MiCA framework.

  • Drive risk assessment, mitigation, and control processes across both financial and non-financial risks, including market, counterparty, liquidity, operational, compliance, technology, and third-party risks.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to embed a strong risk culture and proactively manage risk exposure.

  • Lead deep-dive risk reviews, documenting processes, assessing controls, and identifying areas for enhancement.

  • Develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and provide clear, data-driven risk reporting to senior management.

  • Support regulatory compliance efforts, including risk-related regulatory interactions and reporting obligations across the EEA region.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing, ensuring OKX is prepared for evolving market conditions.

  • Act as a strategic risk advisor, partnering with senior management to align risk management with business objectives.

What We Look For In You

  • 5-7+ years of experience in risk management within financial services, fintech, or digital assets.

  • Strong expertise in Financial Risk (market, counterparty, liquidity) or Non-Financial Risk (operational, compliance, cybersecurity, third-party)—with a willingness to develop across both.

  • Ability to independently manage risk projects, conduct risk-control assessments, and engage effectively with stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory expectations—experience with MiCA or other European regulatory frameworks is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise risk insights to senior leadership.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, where priorities evolve quickly.

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; alternatively, demonstrate equivalent professional experience with relevant certifications.

  • Passion for fintech, crypto, and blockchain, with a strong interest in shaping risk strategies in the digital asset industry.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package.

  • Learning and development programs, and education subsidy for employees' growth and development.

  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependents.

  • Wellness and meal allowances.

  • Various team building programs and company events.

  • The ability to help shape a new industry.

  • More that we love to tell you along the process!
