About archOS
archOS is a multi-year transformational program aimed at standardizing, optimizing, and modernizing our tech stacks and business processes. It supports our Consumer & Restaurant Platforms and serves as an enterprise enabler, laying the foundation for our broader digital ambitions and growth goals. This foundation will enable us to deliver capabilities rapidly in a stable environment and support new initiatives as part of our Digital Engagement Strategy.
Role Overview
This role is part of McDonald's Customer Experience function (MCX) and the Innovation & Product team, reporting to the Director - archOS Product Activation. The Senior Manager - Product Activation, is responsible for running the discovery and definition of the activation steps needed to migrate markets from their legacy tools and processes to the Global Mobile App (GMA) and Martech stack.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Define the activation steps required for market migration to the new tech stack.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including change management, product teams, learning and development, global technology, marketing, and market segments.
  • Create and test deliverables needed for activation.
  • Support markets during the activation phase.
  • Serve as the single point of contact and coordinator for markets during activation.
  • Ensure a seamless transition to the new technology stack and processes


Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Run the discovery and definition of the activation steps & deliverables needed to migrate markets from their legacy tools and processes to the Global Mobile App (GMA) & Martech stack
    • Ensuring best practices, knowledge and standards are followed.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage solutions and drive standardisation.
    • Recognise and communicate areas of opportunity for improvement.
    • Build a consolidated activation plan that ensures seamless transition to the new technology stack and business processes
  • Support the creation of activation deliverables, ensuring alignment with the overall rollout workstreams and key stakeholders (incl. training, change management, product management, marketing, segments and markets)
    • Ensure training deliverables are fit for purpose, work with relevant SMEs and L&D on content creation, align with segment and markets on training needs.
    • Ensure relevant playbooks and checklists are created to support market teams during the market activation phase.
  • Understand the components required for activation in each market, including pre-deployment planning (pre reqs) and in-market execution and collaborate with segment and market teams to define resource needs, create detailed plans, and manage lead times for activation.
  • Act as single point of contact for a market during the market activation phase.
    • Coordinate the activation of GMA and supporting systems in assigned markets, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
    • Support markets in completing the activation playbooks and other activation activities (training, data migration, system testing) and are ready for transition.
  • Lead the coordination and creation of market-specific configurations, addressing local fiscal and legal requirements and challenges.
  • Provide hyper care support post-activation, ensuring a smooth transition and addressing any operational issues.

Qualifications:
Educational Background

  • Bachelor of Science in Product Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.


Professional Experience

  • History of progressively responsible roles related to product management.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide technology projects (preferred).


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple business functions in a global organization.
  • Skilled in gathering and interpreting business and technology requirements.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Understanding of and experience with Agile and product-centric methodologies.

  • Confident and assertive, with the ability to ensure plans are adhered to and expectations are managed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
