We have a new role for a Senior Manager, Procurement Innovation, Supplier Scouting & PM - Global Directs on a full-time permanent basis.

The Senior Manager, Procurement Innovation, Supplier Scouting & PM is a key contributor to the development of Global Procurement’s functional strategy and execution. This role will oversee the project portfolio creation and maintenance of activities for their respective area of support. Additionally, this role will provide strategy support to the Global Direct & Innovation Head across a wide array of responsibilities and initiatives. Frequent leadership of or participation in cross-functional teams is a core part of this role.

This role requires significant amount of internal engagement, utilizing strong interpersonal skills, influence management and change management. He/ She will implement and ensure execution of key initiatives against timeline and deliverables, including identifying bottlenecks, resolving issues and driving towards effective and standardized completion.

In this role you will

  • Be the Strategy Partner and lead for delivery of cross-functional programs and performance the Global Direct & Innovation Head in Global Procurement; operating in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to seamlessly shift across a wide variety of responsibilities.
  • Act as a trusted business partner providing high degree of responsiveness and attention to detail across a variety of topics and priorities, driving the organization to focus on the most impactful and critical activities.
  • Play a key leadership and program management role to support the preparation and execution of critical enterprise and functional transformation programs.
  • Ensure cross-team collaboration on innovation & scouting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner effectively across all areas of Global Procurement to drive activities and priorities in support of the BU business needs.
  • Regularly interact with BU stakeholders up to HET and BU CFO
  • Lead, prepare and coordinate high quality input into HET presentations and senior leader engagements.
  • Prepare and facilitate GPLT-1 Leadership Team meetings to drive focus on the most impactful and critical activities.
  • Lead the alignment of Global Procurement inputs into BU updates, enabling a category-oriented procurement organization to effectively maintain matrix relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Enable creation of team KPIs in alignment with overall Global Procurement strategy and goals, and drive performance management of the team
  • Lead portfolio management framework that enables visibility and management monitoring for savings and value creation portfolio; functional accountability for annual plan and inputs to finance cycles.
  • Lead or support opportunity identification and/or business reviews through activities such as top-down budget/ expense reviews, leading ideation sessions or driving best practice benchmarking.
  • Enable Global Procurement to achieve goals via performance management, portfolio management and focused improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate and support team alignment for key central programs, including but not limited to, Supply Chain Financing , Supplier Relationship Management , Source to Pay Simplification
  • Support Global Procurement’s participation in external benchmarking efforts – deliver intelligence on external best practices and enhance team’s relative maturity and capabilities.
  • Create & facilitate the innovation scouting community of practice to ensure cross category and cross-team visibility on scouting priorities and progress across global and BU Procurement teams.
  • Drive communication and engagement strategy within team in alignment with overall Global Procurement communications strategy and cadence
  • Other projects as appropriate – examples include mergers, acquisitions and divestment support, process creation/ enhancement, representation at cross-functional team initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors - Business, Supply Chain, engineering related field or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience working in corporate environment.
  • Proven background working in procurement or related field.
  • High level of fluency in spoken and written English
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Deep financial acumen
  • Extensive experience in program management, including change management and executive communication. Specifically able to prioritise multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills. 
  • Experience managing the successful delivery of large projects and with end-to-end service / operations management.  Specifically, evidenced ability to manage and execute against multiple critical objectives such as savings and working capital.
  • Significant experience working in a matrix business environment, preferably with global teams.
  • Superior networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners.
  • Demonstrated high learning agility; proven ability to solve complex problems with limited oversight.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and tools
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communications, and influencing skills. Specifically developing presentations and business cases for executive audiences
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines.
  • Motivation for professional development and willingness to coach, mentor, and train others

Additional/Preferred experience:

If you possess the following in addition to the above, it would be a plus: 

  • Preferred: master’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, engineering related field or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience.
  • Good to have: Procurement or related certifications (e.g. CPSM, CPIM, PMP)
