The Role & What You Will Be Doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Treasury team at Viatris. This individual will be responsible for managing the global FX Risk Management function for Viatris, within the Corporate Treasury department. The FX Risk Management function is responsible for the identification of foreign exchange exposures across all global entities and execution of risk mitigating strategies. These activities primarily include managing the balance sheet hedging program & Cashflow hedging Program. This individual must have an innovative mindset and will be required to manage and coordinate various Treasury projects and perform other duties as requested.
The individual must be experienced with trading in financial markets, with a focus on global foreign exchange markets. They must be familiar with US GAPP accounting concepts, practices and procedures within the Treasury field, perform a variety of tasks and works independently and/or with general supervision.

- The Senior Manager, FX Risk Management will be responsible for managing the Company's risk to over thirty global currencies in line with Viatris’ policies.
- Working with the Treasury COE, manage the oversight and execution of the balance sheet hedging program to reduce P&L volatility and reduce FX risk
- Maintain ownership of the FX P&L reporting line to management
- Work with Supply Chain to analyze forecasted revenues from major markets & execute the cashflow hedging program in accordance with policy and hedge accounting requirements.
- Perform financial analysis of complex financial instruments and structures to support currency risk management and other corporate financing decisions.
- Manage the FX risk management team colleagues and provide leadership to the broader Treasury team for financial market related matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with key banking partners.
- Work with Tax and Controller groups to assist in the execution of Step plans, intercompany funding arrangements and restructuring activities.
- Provide Treasury oversight of the Intercompany netting program while working with the Intercompany, AP, AR and IT teams & execution of associated FX transactions.
- Integrate Currency risk management processes across organizations in the context of corporate strategic transactions.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of FX products as well as market risk approaches.
- Experience in trading across multitude of currency pairs. Technical knowledge in accounting with a focus on FX related hedge accounting concepts.
- Lead or participate in other special projects around FX risk management and other treasury initiatives including working capital management and capital markets.
- Trusted to use one’s high level of intellectual curiosity and ability to see the big picture to help Viatris solve any challenges it faces.
- Assist in the build out of internal Mark-to-Market reporting and FX Hedge internalization projects
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a Master’s degree in Finance, Business or accounting preferred.
- CFA preferred. Related experience and/or education may be considered.
- 10 years minimum of financial market trading experience within a corporate treasury environment required.
- Previous management experience, as this role will supervise a team.
- Must possess accounting acumen related to all aspects of currency related matters.
- Must possess strong communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to lead a team of Treasury professionals and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, detail orientated, excellent organization skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Candidate must be analytical, creative and possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience trading across multi-dealer platforms such as FX All and Bloomberg a plus.
- Familiarity with FIS Integrity or other treasury management systems a plus.
