What You'll Bring:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager - Financial Reporting to join our growing finance team. 

The ideal candidate will be an accounting professional with experience in preparation of financial statements, audit and statutory compliance, technical accounting matters, and strong project management skills that can work in collaboration with UK leadership and other matrix stakeholders to ensure compliance with both US GAAP and local accounting standards.  The candidate will be responsible for oversight of statutory compliance for UK entities, CapEx accounting (PPE and internally developed software), and oversight/integration of non-core businesses into the UK/Europe region accounting framework.  As part of this the successful candidate will be able to review current processes and recommend suggestions to improve/implement process improvements.

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Experience working in a large, national public accounting firm managing multinational audits and/or experience in a large multinational company
  • Technical accounting expertise in both US GAAP and IFRS, particularly in the areas of revenue recognition and internally developed software
  • Past experience managing a controllership function or managing a team within a broader controllership function
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor effective internal controls over financial reporting, including ensuring ongoing compliance with SOX
  • Experience managing the statutory audit process and the relationship with external auditors
  • Oversight of the accounting operations for acquired entities and ultimate integration into the broader UK controllership function
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Oversight of two direct reports and development of their technical and leadership capabilities, as well as provide guidance to the rest of the UK controllership team, particularly related to technical accounting matters
  • Develop best practices and consistency in application of group policies, including strengthening of processes and internal controls
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to constructively suppor, influence and guide key internal and external stakeholders  

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP to appropriately account for transactions under both US GAAP and IFRS/local accounting standards
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Experience working in or with a large multi-national company and managing relationships cross-functionally and with different groups of stakeholders

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
