The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, EMEA Tax to join the Finance Team! 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead income tax operations for the EMEA region, including supporting the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements and tax filings and overseeing tax controversies

  • Partner with the business to develop and implement comprehensive tax solutions to support the objectives of our EMEA operations, including providing tax advice on new product initiatives, markets, agreements, and operating models

  • Maintain an understanding of and ensure proper operation of entity functions, intercompany flows, transactions, and agreements for the EMEA entities 

  • Manage intercompany transfer pricing policy, calculations and documentation 

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual international tax provisions to ensure compliance with both local GAAP and US GAAP requirements

  • Manage outside service provider relationships to ensure compliance and risk mitigation as well as implementation of tax planning initiatives

  • Coordinate local tax credit and incentive studies with third-party advisors and business partners

  • Proactively identify, manage and implement opportunities seeking cash tax and effective tax rate efficiencies

  • Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and compliance workflows

  • Manage EMEA tax services budget including contract negotiation, billing, accruals, and budget-to-actual analysis

  • Lead various corporate governance initiatives including presenting at board meetings, supporting the UK Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime, and leading our UK Business Risk Review (BRR) process

  • Support M&A diligence for EMEA-based deals, providing a local lens to structuring and integration planning including post-acquisition direct tax needs

  • Lead functional interviews with EMEA-based business partners to understand business changes and support concurrent documentation

  • Partner with Tax Planning and Legal on various EMEA initiatives and law changes

Knowledge, skills, & abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of core US and non-US international tax concepts and accounting for income taxes under US and local accounting standards

  • Lead and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to enhance their performance and professional growth

  • Strong work ethic and ability to skillfully manage large teams of third-party advisors and competing priorities across multiple jurisdictions

  • Self-starter who can operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Desire and ability to build cross-functional relationships

  • Ability to communicate tax concepts and initiatives to non-tax colleagues

  • Great attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture

  • Flexibility to support global projects across multiple time zones

  • General understanding of non-income taxes such as VAT, DST, WHT, and payroll

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of multinational company, or combination thereof

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA/Chartered Accountant/Chartered Tax Adviser or equivalent

  • Masters in Tax or JD

  • Experience in Oracle ERP and OneSource Tax Provision software
