Senior Manager Controls Assurance

Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate, other locations cannot be considered.

Senior Manager Controls Assurance - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager to join our Controls Assurance team. You will be responsible for ensuring Aviva Investors delivers the AAF Internal Controls Report (International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402 (“ISAE 3402”) and the Technical Release AAF 01/06 (“AAF/01/06”).

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a delegate to the Head of Controls Assurance representing her at key meetings with the Executive and senior stakeholders including EY.

• Supporting the Head of Controls Assurance with the management of key AAF deliverables to critical deadline.

• Manage on-going engagement and partnering with the business to support delivery of controls testing. Ensure that good relationships with the business are maintained.

• Timely management of deficiencies and exceptions and input and tracking into the remediation process.

• Drafting appropriate papers to assess the more complex deficiencies and appropriate ratings.

• Support and input to planning, risk assessments, training, board papers, writing of reports and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA (or suitably qualified by experience) with significant experience in a control, risk or audit environment

• AAF/ SOC1/SAS 70 and/or SOX

• Knowledge of financial reporting standards

• Experience of delivering to high quality within tight timescales

• Proactive and articulate individual, comfortable with dealing with a range of colleagues to the most senior level
