Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Senior Manager, Account Management to nurture and maintain long-term relationships with our most strategic Enterprise accounts within the United Kingdom.
 

You will be the business advisor and main point of contact to some of our most important accounts. You will act as the voice of our product and ambassador of our brand, delivering expertise, education, and mentorship to our merchants. The key for success here will be the ability to use your business savvy knowledge and the required gravitas to effectively communicate and influence at all levels to achieve mutually beneficial scenarios and promote our value proposition.

What we’re looking for

  • Strategic Growth: You own the long-term roadmap for a portfolio of enterprise merchants, identifying opportunities to increase revenue. You create unparalleled strategic value for top-tier enterprise clients by integrating Checkout into their core business. You don’t just think quarter-on-quarter; you have a 12-18 month plan in place.

  • Payment Consulting: You’re seen as a trusted, respectful advisor, indispensable to a merchant’s C-suite. You paint compelling commercial stories for C-suite stakeholders, lead impactful QBRs, and translate payment performance into win-win situations for both merchants and Checkout. 

  • Commercial Leadership: You win complex and multi-layered contract negotiations, renewals, and strategic deals by crafting innovative commercial models. executing the art-of-the-possible with Deal Management, Legal, Strategic Pricing and others whilst remaining the ultimate owner of the commercial outcome. 

  • Value-based Selling: You role model data-based decision making - you’re not afraid of diving into numbers to provide merchants with confidence in our ability to provide meaningful and metric-driven insights. 

  • Customer Advocacy: You are the "Voice of the Merchant" internally, partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence our roadmap based on the evolving needs of your merchants. You’re a master at internal influence and can align various departments under a common client goal to influence our product roadmap. 

  • Mentoring: You lead by example and mentor junior account managers, fostering a culture of “Better Every Day” and active knowledge sharing across the Commercial team. 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in a B2B Account Management, Relationship Management or a commercially focused role in the FinTech and/or Payments industry

  • A strategic problem solver with excellent project management skills

  • Good knowledge of today’s major e-commerce and payments technologies, players and major future trends

  • Multifaceted approach adapting to changing requirements with the ability to balance multiple opportunities

  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across multiple departments and influencing internal and external stakeholders 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

  • Language: Fluent in English (due to UK focus)
