Job Description

What's it all about?

This role will be responsible for identifying local market nuances and prioritising local market needs to support the growth of the A2A Scheme in Europe. developing the go-to-market plan, championing product development, problem solving and support for key strategic clients deploying Visa’s Account to Account solution.

This role will be responsible for enabling and guiding new market go-to-market (GTM) initiatives by leveraging knowledge from previous product launches and supporting local markets to drive early scaling of the Visa A2A product. The role will interact with cross-functional stakeholders, including technology, client services and analytics, with the successful candidate having a nuanced ability to influence and collaborate across a complex and highly matrixed organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, GTM strategies, and cross-functional collaboration. They will be tasked with equipping local market teams with the right tools, training, and resources to ensure the seamless launch and scaling of Visa's A2A payment products. Additionally, this role will play a critical part in ensuring that the Visa A2A product and related assets e.g. rules, liability frameworks are developed, maintained, and adjusted as necessary to meet market and regulatory requirements. They will work closely with the local cluster team to gather local market requirements, and ensure alignment with Visa’s broader product strategy. Key areas of the role will include:

This position will report to a senior leader within Visa Account-to-Account Product team.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Create and execute an engagement plan for Visa's account-to-account solution with European banks through collaboration with Visa local product and market teams.
  • They will need to have a good understanding of traditional and emerging methods and players in the payments ecosystem (leveraging insights and market research).
  • Help define the Visa-wide value proposition for clients, including how other Visa solutions and products can complement account-to-account solutions.
  • The candidate will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and data fluency as well as developing trends in payments and their importance for customer engagement.
  • Manage the construction and tailoring of value analysis reports and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support through collaboration with clients and other Visa teams.
  • Manage processes and driving decisions with Risk and Legal alongside the Cluster teams to ensure clear pathways for product delivery – e.g. NBIA etc.
  • Establish forums to coordinate across the Product team to enable a successful and commercially viable configuration of solutions.
  • Deliver compelling oral and written presentations with the associated technical skills in tailoring sales decks and training collateral to European banks.
  • Be accountable for day-to-day monitoring of financial performance indicators of the programme (gross/net revenue targets, budgets, other product metrics).

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of payment processing technology experience and understanding of macroeconomics, regulation, consumer behaviour and product operations.
  • Strategic thinking and curiosity with a passion for payments technology or general understanding of APIs and services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the development of new solutions, a passion for meeting consumer needs and ability to translate those requirements into commercially viable propositions.
  • Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables.
  • Creative problem solver who can translate product strategy with execution bias to drive initiatives into tangible outcomes and meet key result areas.
