Where and how we work?

We are growing our team across Malta, Lisbon (PT), Sofia (BG), London (UK), and Bucharest (RO) and are looking for talented professionals to join us! We embrace a hybrid work model, with an expectation for You to attend the office at least twice a week to connect, innovate, and grow together while also having the flexibility to work remotely.

Long story short, you will

play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by leading key aspects of the accounting function across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will be overseeing accounting processes, preparing and analyzing financial results, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations, and driving process improvements. This is a senior role and you will be reporting to the Finance Manager.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly.

• Manage inter-company accounting and reconciliations.

• Prepare and review financial results, ensuring timely reporting.

• Assess operational performance impact on financial results.

• Perform technical accounting calculations and complex accounting tasks.

• Prepare VAT submissions and ensure multi-jurisdictional tax compliance.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.

• Collaborate with the BC Support Team to enhance system efficiency and reporting.

• Prepare financial statements for multiple group entities.

• Ensure accuracy of financial reports, consolidations, and group-wide data.

• Monitor and improve internal financial controls for compliance.

• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits.

• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.

• Provide financial analysis and support for management reporting.

• Resolve complex accounting queries related to group structure.

• Mentor and supervise junior team members

• Support strategic and ad hoc projects, stepping in for the Finance Manager when needed.

• Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise :

• Experience as Management Accountant or in a similar role in a complex business environment.

• Strong group accounting knowledge & multi-entity management in multiple jurisdictions

• Extensive management accounting & corporate transactions experience.

• Expertise in financial reporting & consolidations 

• Experience ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (ideally Na or Dynamics 365) & advanced Excel.

• Skilled in financial controls, analysis & problem-solving.

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills (fluent English).

• Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• High accuracy, attention to detail & leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
