Role Description

The Senior Management Accountants lead on the monthly management accounts process, ensuring month end figures are presented, and reported, accurately, as well as updating, investigating, and reporting on, forecast changes.

Senior Management Accountants are senior figures within the Finance team, supporting the Financial Controller.

The Team

The team comprises approximately 18 individuals with a wealth of experience working within Academy Music Group/Live Nation and other organisations.

Whilst the role has ownership of specific functions, the emphasis within the Finance department is on teamwork. The smooth running of the department, and the company, is dependent on all individuals focusing on team goals as well as individual. This is particularly important around tight deadlines, at month end, and year end. We support each other by maintaining an atmosphere of approachability and are committed to building authentic and valuable relationships within the team.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of preparing, and reporting, month end accounts and forecasts
  • Good working knowledge of debits and credits
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong administration and time management skills
  • Qualified or in final stages of qualifying (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or qualified by experience
  • Experience working in a busy finance department
  • Leadership skills/experience

Desirable:

  • Experience using Oracle

What the role includes

  • In collaboration with other senior members of the Finance team, leading on the month end management accounts processes
  • Producing monthly accounts for multiple AMG/Live Nation venues with commentary
  • Monthly forecasting for multiple AMG/Live Nation venues with commentary
  • Producing annual budgets for multiple AMG/Live Nation venues with commentary
  • Significant role in preparing year end accounts, reviewing, and responding to audit requests
  • Writing reporting packs – e.g. month/year end, forecasting, budgets
  • Cashflow preparation and reporting
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations including accruals with commentary, for example, but not limited to:
    • Advanced ticket sales and other ticket accounts
    • PRS/licensing
  • Capex accounts for Academy Music Group and Live Nation venues, including:
    • Monthly reconciliations and reporting
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Business partnering with the Property team and venue/divisional management.
  • Potential line management of Management Accountant(s)/Assistant Management Accountant(s) in future
  • Ad-hoc analysis and tasks
