So, what’s the role all about?

We are seeking a talented lawyer with excellent communication skills to be based in London. The Legal Counsel will provide a range of legal services for our business and operations, with an important focus on commercial transactions. There will be an opportunity to work on matters across NiCE’s International region, which comprises Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The Legal Counsel will be part of NiCE’s global Legal department, and will report to the General Counsel, International.

How will you make an impact?  

The Legal Counsel’s responsibilities will include, without limitation, the following:

International counsel

  • Strategic partner for the provision of legal services across the EMEA / International region with an in-depth understanding of NiCE’s different business segments and products / solutions.
  • Act as a trusted and valued advisor to team members across the International region, with significant experience in local laws, local culture and ways of doing business in these markets.
  • Partner with other members of the global Legal team to share best practices and work on global initiatives and other projects
Commercial
  • Understand the business priorities and products / solutions, and be central to business discussions.
  • Prepare, review and negotiate customer and partner agreements across all areas of the company’s business, with an understanding of the different products / solutions and company requirements. This will include the drafting and negotiation of direct agreements with corporate and government customers, and partner agreements. Experience with different partner / channel models and programs in the technology sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate other commercial agreements (e.g., subcontractors, vendors, ).
  • Develop strong working partnerships with other key stakeholders across the business (e.g., sales, solutions, partners, finance, business operations, etc.).
Risk Management and Compliance
  • Implement the commercial contract approval matrix in the International region.
  • Work with the General Counsel, International and Director, Compliance to ensure compliance (including enforcement of the Code of Ethics, global anti-bribery and corruption laws, global export laws and trade sanctions, etc.).
  • Advising on data privacy and cyber-security laws in International.
Corporate
  • Assist with corporate work related to legal entities in International.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Proven success in multinational technology companies in a similar role, including substantial experience in cloud services / SaaS, software, and services.
  • Commercial legal business partner with a proven track record of results with significant experience negotiating customer and partner transactions in the technology sector across a variety of markets in the APAC / International region.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • Solid IP and data privacy experience.
  • AI experience is preferred.
  • Holding the highest degree of professional ethics and
  • Solution-focused with excellent judgement and analytical
  • First class interpersonal and communication
  • A minimum of 6 years’ PQE, with directly relevant experience gained from working in leading law firms and multinational technology companies.
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) / Master of Laws (LLM) from an internationally recognized university.
