About the Role

PXC legal sit within the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams at PXC, reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Officer. We work closely with the Finance, Security, Supply and Partnerships, Wholesale Product and Commercial teams, and the wider business as needed.

Our lawyers are commercial advisers; passionate about the law but integrated and aligned to the priorities of PXC. Working to support the network and its wholesale customer base, you will provide timely, accurate legal support, enabling the business to meet its strategic goals whilst maintaining compliance with law and regulation.

What you will be working on

  • As a valued member of the team, the senior stakeholders of the business will rely upon your legal expertise as well as your ability to rationalise, explain and simplify issues.

  • You should expect a broad exposure to many areas of mainly commercial and corporate law, advising the business in a wide context of its day-to-day and strategic priorities, as well as ad hoc advice on other matters from time-to-time.

  • Whilst working in within a close team environment on strategic matters, you should be comfortable to work autonomously on your day-to-day activities.

  • Support stakeholders on non-standard commercial transactions including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, legal/commercial support, internal reporting and governance within the business.

  • Demonstrate an ability to anticipate and mitigate legal risks whilst supporting commercial opportunities.

  • You will report to PXC’s General Counsel.

What will make you successful in your role?

Essential:

  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent)

  • Commercial experience

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills

  • Excellent plain English writing and drafting skills

  • The ability to work autonomously, as well as within a close-knit team

  • In-house experience

Desirable:

  • Technology, media and telecoms knowledge

  • Good presentation skills

  • Training at respected law firm

  • Corporate experience
