Why this job is important

As Senior Legal Counsel, United Kingdom, you will have a passion for accelerating the growth and delivery of Kantar’s solutions expertise to regional and Global Client organisations. You will excel at delivering pragmatic and actionable legal and commercial guidance in a fast-paced environment, with significant experience operating in international markets and negotiating high value agreements with the world’s leading enterprises. You will optimise the delivery of legal services including strategic initiatives ensuring that business teams have the knowledge and information to drive velocity in contracting to accelerate client engagements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with business experts and legal team members to deliver pragmatic and actionable legal and commercial guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Negotiate high value agreements with the world’s leading enterprises.
  • Optimise the delivery of legal services including strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with international Legal team members in areas including knowledge management, developing and updating contracts terms for Kantar’s solutions portfolio and liaison in supporting global clients.
  • Provide strategic guidance for commercial engagements with clients and partners.

The skills & experience needed as Senior Legal Counsel

  • LLB law degree or conversion from an accredited law school.
  • Solicitor or Barrister admitted in a UK jurisdiction or equivalent from a foreign bar.
  • 6+ years of qualified lawyer experience in a commercial legal in-house role, or at a law firm, with a preference for both law firm and in-house experience.
  • Proven success in setting priorities and communicating expectations with key stakeholders and working in partnership with them.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with an ability to influence through persuasion at all levels of an organisation.
