As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for legal support for Vinted Pay UK, ensuring that business operates in full compliance with applicable UK laws, payment regulations and internal governance standards. You will act as a senior legal advisor on payments regulation, consumer protection, product/business initiatives, complaints, and commercial arrangements. You will work closely with the local Vinted Pay UK team and other Vinted Pay entities, collaborating with Legal and Compliance colleagues across the UK and EU to ensure consistent standards, aligned regulatory interpretations, and effective implementation of requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
In this position, you’ll- Lead legal advice for UK business activities in Vinted Pay and Vinted Marketplace
- Support product development and launches by providing clear legal assessments, and pragmatic recommendations
- Act as the main person ensuring that UK payments regulatory framework, ongoing legal obligations and regulatory changes are met
- Oversee complaints handling and take care of dispute resolution and litigation management
- Create, review and/or negotiate contracts
- 7+ years of legal experience, gained within an EMI/PSP, fintech, marketplace, or as an external legal advisor to regulated financial services businesses
- Strong knowledge of the UK payments regulatory environment, including EMI requirements, consumer protection, complaints handling and FCA supervision
- Comfortable operating as a senior legal advisor, guiding the business through complex regulatory and commercial risk decisions
