Why this job is important

As Senior Legal Counsel, North America, you will have a passion for accelerating the growth and delivery of Kantar’s solutions expertise to North American and Global Client organisations. You will excel at delivering pragmatic and actionable legal and commercial guidance in a fast-paced environment, with significant experience operating in international markets and negotiating high-value agreements with the world’s leading enterprises. You will optimize the delivery of legal services and prioritize the most strategic initiatives while ensuring that business teams have the knowledge and information to drive velocity in contracting to accelerate client engagements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with business experts and legal team members to deliver pragmatic and actionable legal and commercial guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • Negotiate high-value agreements with leading enterprises
  • Optimise the delivery of legal services and prioritise strategic initiatives
  • Lead and develop the regional legal team and collaborate with global legal colleagues to drive greater impact and high-performance

The skills & experience needed as Senior Legal Counsel

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Illinois, New York, or other State Bar in North America
  • At least 2+ years’ experience managing a team of attorneys
  • 8+ years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm with at least 3+ years’ experience of in-house legal functions
  • Proven track record in technology, digital, data, software, or consulting businesses

The salary range for this role in Chicago or Atlanta is $150,000 – $200,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
