For the position of Senior Key Account Manager DACH (m/f/d), we are looking to appoint an experienced senior professional to strengthen our team as soon as possible. The role is based at one of AIG’s German offices (Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Heilbronn) and operates across the DACH region.

This position is explicitly aimed at candidates with extensive and relevant professional experience in comparable roles within an internationally oriented insurance organization, who are accustomed to operating at top management and C-level.

Your Role – Strategic, Regional, Executive-Level

In this key role, you will be responsible for developing strategies to stabilize the existing portfolio as well as for further developing and deepening our most important client relationships. You will also be accountable for acquiring new clients in the assigned region and for achieving the allocated new business targets. In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Client & Broker Engagement DACH.

Key Responsibilities

·        Strategic and proactive management of large corporate clients and in-house brokers at executive and C-level – overall coordination of all relevant AIG sales activities across lines of business, countries, and functions

·        Active, long-term relationship management with top decision-makers, including board members and executive management

·        Design, coordination, and execution of executive meetings, annual reviews, account reviews, and exclusive client events

·        Representation of AIG at national and international industry events, conferences, forums, and C-level formats

·        Overall responsibility for achieving sales and profitability targets (KPI monitoring, portfolio management, portfolio stabilization, growth, new business, and client satisfaction)

·        Leadership, coordination, and orchestration of virtual, international account teams (Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Legal, etc.) in the spirit of “leadership without authority”

·        Development and implementation of complex, client-specific growth and development plans in close alignment with line-of-business leaders

·        Confident escalation and stakeholder management in complex client or project situations

·        Effective use and governance of sales and CRM systems (including Salesforce), encompassing management reporting, KPI analyses, and senior management presentations

Your Profile

·        Extensive, relevant professional experience in a comparable strategic sales, key account, or broker management role, preferably within the international large corporate segment of the insurance industry

·        University degree in Law, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline (master’s degree or MBA preferred)

·        Proven, excellent network with large corporate clients and in-house brokers across the DACH region

·        Long-standing experience working with boards, executive management, and C-level stakeholders

·        Demonstrated and sustainable success in strategic broker and key account management

·        Strong intercultural competence and experience working with international, multidisciplinary teams

·        In-depth, cross-line-of-business expertise with at least one clear core specialization; experience as a senior underwriter in one of the core lines is an advantage

·        Strong leadership personality with a high level of influence and assertiveness

·        Excellent strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills

·        Entrepreneurial mindset, outstanding communication skills, confidence, and personal maturity

·        Fluency in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage

·        Very good IT skills (Office 365, Salesforce)
