Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior iOS engineer to join our Consumer Onboarding team.
The Consumer Onboarding team is responsible for making our customer's first experience with Wise easy, simple and delightful. We do that by building systems and experiences that can scale onboarding across the world just like Wise does, while working with many different teams to welcome and introduce our customers to Wise’s offering and how to use them to solve their cross currency needs.
Our team builds systems that onboard more than 1.3 million users a month - and as one of the senior engineers in the team, you’ll play a fundamental role in shaping their experience with Wise.
We are looking for an experienced iOS engineer who can work closely with product, design and analytics to shape and build Wise’s onboarding experience.
Qualifications
As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will:

Collaborate closely with product, design, analytics and other teams across the company to deliver impactful experiences to Wise’s customers - as a cross functional team

Be responsible for the overall health and quality of the iOS codebase that power Wise’s onboarding experience

Work closely with your team to plan, scope and build consistent experience across Wise’s native app experiences

Work closely with your lead to own Wise’s iOS onboarding product flows and architecture and help shape your team’s technical roadmap

Work with the wider iOS Guild at Wise to maintain and evolve the the iOS codebase, architecture and product
-
Work closely with other teams to drive cross team technical initiatives to scale and grow the technical landscape that powers Wise’s onboarding experience

Experience in building and deploying an iOS app
-
Proficiency in building iOS apps in Swift
-
Familiarity with software architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, or VIPER. (We use VIPER and MVVM)

Experience with iOS codebases at scale with concerns like modularization, observability, platform-level code, and tooling.
-
Ability to define and implement a comprehensive test strategy, including the appropriate use of unit tests, integration tests, UI tests, and snapshot tests, etc.
-
A strong product mindset and passion for user experience—you prioritise work with users in mind and make data-driven decisions to address user issues.

Excellent communication skills
Additional Information
It would a bonus if you also have:
-
Experience with SwiftUI, Combine, and/or Structured Concurrency
-
Experience with other platforms like backend, web, or Android
-
Experience with API design and concepts like RESTful APIs, Backend for Frontend, etc.

Exposure to analytics and experimentation tooling such as Mixpanel, Hotjar, ABTasty, Optimisely or similar
