About the Position:
Reporting to VP, Identity & Access Management (IAM), we are seeking an experienced Senior IAM Analyst to strengthen identity governance and protect sensitive insurance data across our enterprise. This role combines deep IAM expertise with hands-on experience, with the necessary experience to contribute towards the strategic design, implementation, and maturation of the IAM environment.
The Senior Identity & Access Management Analyst role is based in the London office. There will be selected travel to other RenRe offices (primarily Dublin).

Key Responsibilities:
Identity & Access Management
Manage identity lifecycle processes (joiner/mover/leaver) across cloud and on-prem environments.
Develop and maintain RBAC/ABAC frameworks supporting underwriters, claims handlers, brokers, and third-party partners.
Perform regular access reviews, privilege recertifications, and entitlement clean-up aligned to insurance-industry audit expectations.
Enhance and operate MFA, conditional access, passwordless, privileged access control, and Just‑In‑Time access models.
Support identity architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with zero-trust principles and insurance data protection needs.
Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security, Compliance & Business teams to define access patterns and enforce least privilege.
Microsoft Purview DLP & Data Protection
Design, configure, tune, and operationalize Microsoft Purview DLP policies across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Endpoint DLP, and sanctioned cloud apps.
Build and maintain sensitive information types, trainable classifiers, and EDM (Exact Data Match) schemas specific to insurance data categories (e.g., medical information, financial profiles, claims documentation, policyholder PII).
Identify and mitigate risks related to exfiltration, including email forwarding, cloud sharing, removable media, printing, and browser uploads.
Partner with Compliance and Data Privacy to ensure DLP controls support FCA, ICO, and broader UK/EU regulatory expectations.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Translate regulatory obligations into IAM and DLP controls, supporting standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and insurance-specific audit expectations.
Support internal and external audits by providing access evidence, DLP control information, and remediation plans.
Maintain IAM and DLP policies, security standards, runbooks, and process documentation.
Participate in risk assessments and contribute to reducing control gaps related to privileged access, data movement, and identity lifecycle failures.
Candidate Experience:
5–8+ years’ experience in IAM roles supporting enterprise‑scale, regulated environments.
Strong understanding of Azure AD/Entra ID, Active Directory, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC), and federation.
Extensive experience with
Experience with role design, entitlement hygiene, access governance, and identity lifecycle process improvement.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP, including Endpoint DLP.
Knowledge of data protection controls and challenges relevant to the insurance industry, including handling high-sensitivity personal information.
Experience with any market-leading IAM/IGA or PAM platform such as SailPoint IdentityNow/IdentityIQ, Saviynt, Okta, CyberArk, OneIdentity.
Exposure to DLP solutions beyond Microsoft Purview. (desirable)
