About The Role

Knight Frank is looking to hire a Senior HSE Advisor to join their Head Office in Baker Street.

The HSE function sits within the Risk and Operations department. Based in our Baker Street office, we are looking to recruit a Senior HSE Advisor on a permanent basis. The role is ideally suited to an individual who has completed a NEBOSH Diploma, and is looking to expand their experience while developing their skills as a health and safety practitioner.

The primary functions of the role are to ensure the requirements of our established safety management system are implemented and maintained and to support and deputise for the Associate Health, Safety and Environment Manager with the administration of the management system.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist the Associate HSE Manager to actively promote health, safety and environmental compliance and deliver quality support to the UK business, by:

HSE lead for the Rural service line responsible for:

• Conducting property audits to ensure compliance.

• Creating tailored guidance, newsletters, and risk assessments for Rural operations.

• Developing and delivering Contractor Management training to Rural staff.

• Managing the Rural ISO 45001 audit cycle and drafting the new service line audit plan.

Building Safety Act Support:

• Serving as the primary HSE contact for ILM while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders.

• Ensure update of the golden thread and providing documentation for building safety cases

• Attending the Building Fire Safety Forum and ILM subgroups, completing assigned tasks.

• Holding quarterly one-on-one meetings with ILM operational teams.

• Developing ILM-specific guidance, performing on-site visits, and shadowing teams to identify risk areas and bolster compliance.

• Regularly participating in ILM’s internal meetings as a contributing member.

Deputise to the HSE Manager to ensure consistent leadership by:

• Leading in the Manager’s absence.

• Chairing or observing meetings as their representative.

• Providing operational support to the team and making decisions when necessary.

EWS / Building Fire Safety:

• Completing detailed fire safety reviews and assessments for sales activities

• Implementing the new EWS1 workflow, including training for all relevant ILM staff.

• Supporting internal sales audit function in London Office audits and follow up meeting

BSI Certification:

• Overseeing the operation of our BSI, Internal and third-party standards, and audit programme, for 45001, 14001 including the management of the online compliance platform, management of appointed suppliers, bookings, scheduling, and reporting of audits along with resolution of audit findings.

Training:

• Developing and delivering training and support to regional offices and departments to implement requirements of our safety and environmental systems, including maintaining online information and databases and where necessary travel to regional offices.

Manage daily operations of  HSE function:

• Manage daily HSE operations, providing mentoring, guidance, and practical support to junior team members and staff across the business.
