We have ambitious growth business plans at McCain, but we can't achieve those without our people. Our HR team play a huge part in driving our winning culture and it's the role of our HR Specialist to get under the skin of the people behind the potatoes.
The Senior HR Specialist will support and oversee day-to-day HR Employee Life Cycle Processes, having the Employee Experience at the Centre of driving HR Services and effective HR support to the GB Business.
Working in collaboration with the HR Business Partners to deliver the GB Winning Culture Strategy and in line with the GB Growth Plans. Providing advice and support to People Leaders from a solution focused perspective. Having a proactive approach to driving engagement, talent and succession, diversity, equity, and inclusion and Organisation effectiveness in partnership with Client group.
Using a continuous improvement mindset, the Senior HR Specialist will create impactful connections between Local HR Specialists and our Global Employee Experience Centre in order to provide a world class service to our Employees.

Responsibilities
• Working in partnership with People leaders to enable the everyday engagement of their teams. To build people leader capability within client group to develop effective management and leadership behaviours, giving people leaders the tools to succeed as managers / leaders • Oversee and advise People Managers and Employees with Employee and Labor relations issues (activities may include conducting investigations, managing appeals, addressing misconduct, issuing discipline, suspension, and / or termination) • To lead local recruitment efforts, such as maintaining job requisitions, running talent acquisition events, proactively sourcing candidates, and developing / maintaining the local candidate pool(s) • Manage candidate assessment and selection process working in collaboration with the HRBP to ensure a pipeline of diverse talent to meet local business needs / succession plans. • Conduct behavioural based interviews through the recruitment and selection process. • Support the development and review of HR Procedures, to ensure compliance with legislative updates and best practice changes. Whilst playing a key role in the coordination of the HR aspects in Audits. • Oversee the employee absence process, providing the business with accurate data and insight. Working with People Managers and HR Specialists to adherence to process and drive appropriate action plans. • Collaborate with the HR Service Delivery Manager to analyse the data available through the HRNow platform by identifying and taking insight driven actions. Whilst enhancing our Self-Service content and Communication to Employees to continually improve the Employee Experience. • Lead and or participate in Regional and Globally driven HR Projects • Work with HRBP to support People Leaders in driving a continuous improvement mindset towards everyday engagement • Support regional implementation of CoE-driven processes, policies and initiatives.

ABOUT YOU.
You'll be a HR generalist ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG would be advantageous!) You will also have...
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent • Breadth of HR Experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven experience in delivering priorities across multiple sites • Comprehensive HR policy and process knowledge • Extensive Employee Relations experience with strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations • Ability to understand and apply HR compliance requirements • Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with impact and handle confidential information • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills • Strong business acumen coupled with project management and analytical skills • HR Project delivery with a continuous Improvement Mindset • Working knowledge of HR systems, particularly SuccessFactors and Service Now

WHERE WILL I WORK?
We have a culture based on achieving outcomes and with that we fully support flexible working. You will be based out of our Whittlesey plant (Hybrid Home Working), and due to the nature of this role, we would require to see you a few times a month in our Wombourne plant, plus occasionally in our Scarborough office for larger team meetings.
