The Senior HR Business Partner will lead HR strategies, partner with business leaders on M&A activities, manage talent processes, and enhance employee experience, focusing on strategic workforce planning and transformation programs.

We are hiring a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) who will be responsible for providing strategic HR support and leadership across all HR disciplines throughout EMEA. This role is pivotal in driving HR initiatives and fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s vision and objectives. The HRBP will partner with senior leadership and business managers to develop and implement people strategies that promote performance, growth, and operational excellence. Key activities for this role will include:

Strategic HR Leadership:

Partner with senior business leaders and managers to develop and execute HR strategies that drive business objectives across EMEA. Provide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent management.

Talent Acquisition and Development:

Collaborate with Head of Talent Acquisition to help lead the recruitment strategy for senior and critical roles across EMEA, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain top talent. Collaborate with the L&D Partner to assist with succession planning and career development programs to foster internal talent growth.

Employee Relations & Performance Management:

Advise and support managers on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management. Lead efforts to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Oversee the development and execution of performance management processes across EMEA.

Change Management:

Lead HR initiatives associated with organisational change, restructuring, and transformation. Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with the company’s goals and values.

Compensation and Benefits Strategy:

Work closely with the Compensation and Benefit Lead to ensure competitive salary structures and benefits packages, assisting with the implementation of a Global Grading structure.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure that HR practices are in compliance with local laws and regulations across all EMEA jurisdictions. Provide guidance on legal matters, HR policies, and organisational risk management. 

HR Metrics & Reporting:

Collaborate with the Head of HRIS to develop analytics and metrics reporting to track the effectiveness of HR strategies, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.

Ad Hoc Work & Projects:

  • Support the Head of HR on various HR projects and initiatives as and when required
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the HRBP and HR Advisor where required.
  • Undertake any other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role;
  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training;
  • When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and  consistent high quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets;
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality;
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent n Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a HRBP role, preferably in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Experience in the finance or professional services industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing HR across multiple countries within EMEA, with a deep understanding of regional employment laws and cultural nuances.
  • Strong track record of influencing and advising senior leaders on HR strategy and people issues.

Skills:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to business goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to implement actionable plans.
  • Proficient in HRIS, data analytics, and reporting tools, Workday preferred.

Languages:

  • Proficiency in English is required. Additional European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are a plus.
