This is an opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to work closely with senior Equities leaders across EMEA, shaping and delivering the people agenda for a complex, high-performing business. Combining strategic influence with broad HR expertise, you will advise on critical talent, organisational effectiveness, reward and workforce decisions while partnering across a global HR network.

In the Human Resources division, we provide advice and insight to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented global workforce, giving employees the support and tools they need to succeed. This is a VP-level position within the EMEA Sales, Trading and Research HR Business Partner team.

The successful candidate will combine strong judgement, resilience and adaptability with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders in a complex, fast-paced and highly regulated environment. They will anticipate emerging people themes, bring a thoughtful and independent perspective, and remain effective through ambiguity, competing priorities and organisational change.

What you’ll do in the role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted adviser to Equities Group Heads, translating commercial priorities into strategic, value-add people solutions and delivering talent and inclusion priorities with global HR partners
  • Shape workforce, organisational design, succession and talent strategies to strengthen capability, performance and retention
  • Lead annual promotion, performance evaluation and year-end compensation processes, providing credible advice and balanced counsel to senior leaders
  • Independently advise on complex employee relations, conduct, restructuring and redundancy matters, balancing commercial outcomes with legal, regulatory and reputational risk and partnering with Legal or external counsel where required
  • Use workforce analytics and management information to highlight emerging trends, risks and opportunities and present clear, actionable insight to business leaders
  • Partner with Recruitment, Compensation and Regulatory Remuneration on hiring and pay decisions, including MRT identification, SMCR and related compensation implications
  • Collaborate across regional and global HR teams to deliver pragmatic solutions and help leaders build an inclusive, high-performing culture

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Substantial HR Business Partner experience in a complex, fast-paced organisation; financial services or experience supporting Markets, Research or another front-office client group is highly desirable
  • A strong track record of advising and influencing senior leaders, with the commercial judgement and confidence to offer a clear, independent perspective
  • Broad expertise across talent, succession, performance, compensation, workforce planning and organisational change
  • Sound employee relations expertise and the ability to navigate sensitive matters independently within a regulated environment
  • A strategic, data-led approach, with the ability to turn business priorities and workforce insight into practical, value-adding people solutions
  • Resilience, adaptability and composure, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and deliver through ambiguity, change and competing priorities
  • A collaborative and pragmatic style, with the credibility to work effectively across regional and global teams
  • High integrity and discretion; a relevant HR qualification or equivalent professional experience is preferred
