The role - what you’ll do:​

As a Senior Growth Strategy Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial future of the Direct business unit (selling directly to SMBs). Collaborating closely with our VP of Growth and cross-functional teams, you'll be at the forefront of uncovering new growth opportunities and driving revenue.

Business Strategy and Planning 

    • Collaborate cross-functionally to define the business unit strategy using a data-driven approach and communicate it to senior leadership and the board
    • Work with finance on revenue forecasting, cost implications, and investment decisions
    • Design the pricing and commercial strategy in collaboration with the pricing team
    • Contribute to the broader GTM strategy working closely with Marketing and Product

Insights & Analytics

    • Analyse the customer acquisition funnel, conversion rates and product usage data to identify growth opportunities
    • Lead 1:1 conversations with customers to extract insights
    • Regularly review business performance, diagnose root causes of any issues and define quick actions to correct course
    • Leverage analytics and automation tools (Excel, AI, etc) to drive team efficiency

At-Scale Acquisition & Partnerships

  • Input into marketing strategy and spend deployment
  • Partner with the product, marketing and commercial teams to design, launch and track experiments that can drive revenue growth at scale
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process with high-value leads, working closely with Sales
  • Develop and drive our holistic partnerships strategy and lead the Direct channel’s geographical expansion via regional resellers

Team Leadership & Cross-functional collaboration

    • Lead a dynamic team of both direct and indirect reports, supporting day-to-day execution, individual growth and career/professional development
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment on strategy, objectives and priorities

Preferred experience

  • Prior experience in a top-tier consulting firm, or as a founder;
  • Experience with high-growth tech/SaaS in a marketing/commercial role is a plus;
  • Experience in the small business ecosystem, with an understanding of SMB pain points

Skills & Behaviours:

  • Strong background in data analysis, financial modelling and insights generation;
  • Robust understanding of sales and marketing fundamentals (theory and practice);
  • Business acumen, strategic planning and budgeting;
  • Communication, presentation and data-led storytelling 
  • Growth and curiosity mindset; 
  • Hit the ground running and operate independently;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, can build productive relationships with different stakeholders.
