About this opportunity
We are expanding our Strategic Sourcing and Projects team, part of Ericsson's Group Function Legal Affairs (GFLA). This team focuses on contracts with some of our most critical suppliers worldwide - from semiconductor supply for our networks business, to inbound licensing of software for our telecoms software business, to essential internal IT and outsourced services. Many of these agreements involve significant spend and the timely delivery of critical supplies, enabling Ericsson to remain competitive.
While the main focus of this role will be supplier contract review and negotiation, our lawyers have broad commercial and technology law backgrounds and advise on a wide range of issues - from AI implementation, to proactively managing supplier disputes, and advising on enforcement - in close collaboration with other experts across GFLA globally.
You will also have opportunities to participate in other strategic initiatives across the Ericsson Group and to work closely with members of the GFLA Leadership Team. Over time, we actively support our lawyers to grow, develop new skills, and explore other opportunities within GFLA - whether in Sweden or internationally.
What you will do• Provide legal advice to, and influence, Ericsson stakeholders at all levels involved in the selection, contracting, and management of Ericsson suppliers.• Draft, review, and negotiate supplier and other agreements (and related contracts and documentation), adapting support based on the priority and complexity of the matter.• Provide training on relevant legal and contractual issues to stakeholders and other lawyers across Ericsson.• Proactively raise and escalate risks and concerns regarding contracting practices and specific contracts.• Collaborate extensively with other lawyers across Ericsson's global legal community.• Demonstrate curiosity, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of the technology behind what we sell and buy.• Participate in wider contracting improvement initiatives and projects across the Ericsson Group.
You will bring• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification, or equivalent legal experience.• Experience as a commercial, technology and/or corporate lawyer. We value backgrounds from law firms, in-house roles, public sector, high-growth companies, or other relevant sectors.• Experience advising on cross-border matters is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates with strong relevant commercial or technology legal experience from any sector.• Pragmatic approach to risk and strong judgment.• High integrity and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.• Good commercial and technology awareness.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.• Strong written and spoken English for stakeholder management and negotiations; additional languages are a plus.
