MXW is looking for a new, full-time Lead Graphic Designer based in London. This hands-on role is responsible for designing elevated pitch presentations, digital content, brand experiences, and marketing campaign assets, including AV, key art, and social, with specific experience working in the entertainment industry. MXW brings this suite of services to its many clients, including Disney, Universal, and Netflix.

MXW is part of the Trailer Park Group - a global, full-service agency specialising in content creation and entertainment marketing. Combining storytelling expertise with large-scale production resources, Trailer Park Group creates, markets, and distributes content for entertainment studios and major brands. With strategy, creativity, and cutting-edge digital services at our core, Trailer Park Group operates from offices in Hollywood, New York, London, and Mumbai.

IMPORTANT CALL OUTS:
- This position requires someone with entertainment marketing experience.  This means someone who has worked on integrated marketing campaigns for film, streaming or television clients.
- We prefer someone with a marketing agency background but may flex for the right role.
- Candidates must present a portfolio of work for consideration
- This is a hybrid position that will require in-office 2-3 days a week.  Local candidates only, please.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Working in partnership with the Design Director, the ideal candidate for this role is a multidisciplinary designer who brings exceptional strategic thinking, creative excellence, and passion for delivering outstanding client experiences across various design deliverables.

Creative Direction 

  • Presentation & Layout Design: Craft visually engaging cross-company presentations, partner pitches, and sales tools, all the way to main-stage showcases and internal employee summits for studio partners.
  • Events and Experiences: Bring entertainment brands to life with mock-ups, visualizations, and delivery of immersive environmental and print graphics.
  • Retail & Promotional Content Creative: Design innovative marketing toolkits and guidelines that set the standard for global retail and promotional campaigns.
  • Marketing Collateral: From scroll-stopping social graphics to polished print materials, create impactful assets across digital and print.

Project Management
As a senior team member, you would be pivotal in turning vision into reality while ensuring a seamless flow of projects within the agency.

  • Translate client requests and briefings into clear, actionable creative briefs for the design studio, ensuring alignment with their objectives.
  • Own the creative brief process and guide projects from concept to completion, ensuring teams deliver on time, within budget, and at the highest quality.
  • Clearly present and pitch work to clients, compelling storytelling and engaging communication.
  • Identify new opportunities that will contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the agency.

Design Team Leadership 

  • Mentorship support of 8 full-time designers plus a rotation of trusted freelancers from a technical mastery point of view, empowering them to deliver top-tier creative.
  • Become the go-to person for design-related matters, responsible for safeguarding and elevating the brand guidelines of our clients.
  • Work closely with the client services team to ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with external partners and consultants, strengthening our network and enhancing project delivery.

Any other duties which the Company shall reasonably require from time to time.

ABOUT YOU:

  • A 2:1 or higher bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of agency or in-house experience and entertainment marketing experience is very important to this role.
  • Advanced Skills in Adobe Suite – especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. After Effects and Premiere Pro are helpful but not essential.
  • Presentation software skills are required for PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
  • Experience leading and influencing a creative team with a keen ability to delegate and manage multiple projects and people.
  • Strong understanding of B2B and consumer marketing across disciplines, including Creative, Brand, Digital, Partnerships, PR, Media, Research, Sales, and Licensing.
  • Strong time management skills and highly organised individual who is detail orientated and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and welcoming personality that encourages relationship building both internally and externally.
  • A creative and strategic thinker who starts by asking, "Why?" or "What problem are we solving?"—paired with excellent communication skills and a personable approach.
  • A keen eye for cultural trends and zeitgeist moments that inspire fresh ideas and strategies, paired with a deep passion for film and TV.
  • Based in London and eligible to work in the UK.
