The (Senior) Global Event Manager (MarTech Operations) is part of the Celonis Global Events team and is responsible for overseeing the strategy, setup, and execution of all event technology systems, with a primary focus on the registration experience. Furthermore you will be responsible for the set-up, development and maintenance of our Event App and support our interactive attendee experiences.
In order to deliver events like our annual Celosphere conference, you manage a group of in-house stakeholders and external resources, collaborating throughout the monthslong process leading up to each event. Working cross-functionally with workstream leads and vendor partners, this role ensures a seamless, user-friendly, and data-rich registration and event tech experience from pre-event through onsite check-in and post show reporting.
You establish best practices for event technology that align to our company brand and business goals, and then work with a network of resources to ensure they are delivered across our event landscape.
We’re looking for a seasoned event manager with expertise and passion for event technology who is ready to take on the challenge of bringing our events to the next level. Deep knowledge of and a strong passion for creating unforgettable experiences for our global community is a must!
This role reports to the Director of Global Events.
The work you’ll do:
- Lead the Event Tech and Registration Workstream for all of our internal and external events such as Celosphere, the annual Celonis conference for customers and partners, a multimillion euro, 3000+ attendee conference, Process Intelligence Days regional event series, with 20+ events throughout the year in 15+ countries ranging from 50 - 1000 attendees, and our major internal events, including our annual Company Kickoff and Sales Kickoffs, as well as our annual incentive event, Presidents Club.
- Own the end-to-end setup and technical health of the registration environment, establishing standardized frameworks for event builds to drive efficiency and brand consistency, ensuring optimal configuration, scalability, and performance across all event types.
- Architect and manage seamless data flows between the registration platform and our broader MarTech stack (e.g., CRM, Marketing Automation, and Analytics tools) to ensure a "single source of truth" for attendee data.
- Own the strategic roadmap and technical execution of the Event App, driving attendee engagement through innovative feature deployment and platform maintenance.
The qualifications you need:
- 5+ years of experience in event technology or marketing operations with large-scale corporate events, conferences, and/or broadcast/streaming productions, specifically within a high-growth tech environment or a global enterprise.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a Workstream Owner, managing complex project timelines and collaborating with cross-functional leads.
- Expert-level proficiency in enterprise registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, RainFocus, Bizzabo, Swoogo). You must be able to design complex logic, conditional flows, and multi-track registration frameworks.
- Deep understanding of the MarTech stack. Proven experience in architecting and maintaining seamless data synchronizations between event tools and CRMs/Marketing Automation systems.
- Full-lifecycle ownership of native Event Apps. Experience in configuring interactive features, managing content updates, and optimizing UI/UX for attendee engagement.
- Technical knowledge of on-site deployment, including high-volume badge printing, lead retrieval systems, and connectivity requirements.
- A strong eye for the Customer Journey. You don't just set up tools; you design frictionless, personalized user flows from pre-event marketing to post-event follow-up.
- A passion for emerging event-tech trends. Experience implementing AI-driven matchmaking, gamification, and interactive engagement tools.
- Ability to act as a consultant to internal teams, translating business goals into technical requirements.
- Ideally, you have a track record of managing and leading digital or hybrid events end-to-end.
- Ideally experience in physical event organization, execution, and measurement.
- Superb presentation and communication skills for presenting event tech strategy to internal executive-level stakeholders
- A strong sense of leadership and ownership for your initiatives, projects, and team
- The agility and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders at a high-growth company on the cutting edge of AI technology
- Ability to be a calm, decisive operator on show days: to prioritize, communicate, and solve problems quickly with minimal disruption
- Ability and willingness to travel in order to be on-site for major events
- Ability and willingness to work remotely across time zones occasionally doing virtual meetings during off hours in order to support events globally
