Spearheading the development of our new therapy area in Aesthetics, we are looking for talent for a number of key leadership positions who will play crucial roles in our strategy and execution at this exciting phase in our journey, in an environment that can offer unique career development opportunities on a global scale.

About the role

This is a senior leadership position working directly for the VP, Asset Lead (Neuroscience), in a high profile role that balances strategic thinking with hands on execution to drive growth, market penetration and brand leadership. In this role you will the key decision maker and leader in our newly established Aesthetics therapy area, owning the Go To Market strategy for future Aesthetics brands.

You will be at the forefront of one of the most dynamic and strategic segments of the company with a unique opportunity to share the future of the aesthetics business by leading transformative, global go-to-market strategies to position the company as a leader in the space, with the opportunity to influence how innovative products enter the market, engage with top-tier KOLs and impact consumers on a global scale, shaping the long-term growth and bringing innovative solutions to a fast-growing market.  

You will drive growth, market penetration, and brand leadership in the aesthetic injectables and toxin market globally and cross-functional collaboration with leaders in the organization to create and execute commercial strategies that align with the company’s long-term vision.

Main responsibilities

  • Pre-Launch Development: In collaboration with R&D and Project/Asset Team provide input into strategic and integrated product development plans to create differentiation from competitor products and in line with business objectives.  Input into the Target Product Profile (TPP/TVP) in line with brand strategy. Support business case, forecast and development of launch plan, product positioning & messaging.

  • Competitor Awareness & Risk assessment: In collaboration with Market Analytics, countries, and customer interactions, gather customer and market insights, map market needs and design strategies on how to address them in a differentiating way.

  • Customer engagement and stakeholder Management: Lead & communicate the commercial product development strategy at internal governance meetings. Development of external KOLs and stakeholders’ relationship. Global Product Launch Plans: Responsible for leading and executing impactful global new product launches. Create and implement global go-to-market strategies identifying market opportunities, competitive advantages to capture market share in new and existing geographies.

  • Product Commercialization & Customer Value creation: Implementation of the global brand strategies for products, services, programs, and other key initiatives, including establishment of value proposition, targeting & segmentation, brand positioning, global branding, product launch, sales & inventory forecast.

  • Digital & Customer/User experience: design customer journeys, emotions, and touchpoints to produce an unparallel customer experience by integrating digital, physical, and social channels.

  • Cross functional integration: Lead in a highly matrixed environment towards the company vision. Work cross functionally with the relevant functions to ensure that the projects, initiatives, and solutions have clear objectives and KPIs in full compliance with Ipsen’s policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.

Knowledge, abilities & experience

  • Market Expertise: knowledge of the Dermatology & Global Medical Aesthetics Business with especial interest in the injectables market

  • Strategic Thinking & Agility: ability to consider long-term goals, anticipate potential challenges and opportunities, and develop innovative solutions that align with organizational objectives.

  • Leadership - demonstrates strong leadership with ability to influence without authority. Possesses a high degree of credibility by gaining trust and confidence of others.

  • Commercial acumen and excellence in execution: Prioritizes and delivers high-impact initiatives implementing customer-based approaches. Experience in building as well as shaping markets.

  • Financial acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, pricing & financial performance metrics

  • Communications - Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to distil key information from complex and extensive sources and present the information in a clear and executive way.

  • Interpersonal Skills - builds effective relationships, strong influencing skills.

Key Technical Competencies Required

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in global commercial roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or aesthetics industry.  

  • Proven success in driving the growth of aesthetic injectables or similar products is essential

  • Global and/or country brand marketing experience, capable of developing compelling business cases.

  • Significant knowledge & experience of drug development, particularly from Phase II through commercialization and launch

  • Experience of the development process and necessary commercial touch points with cross-functional global product team members

  • Experience of marketing/branding to consumers, customers, and healthcare professional audiences

  • Excellent project management and process planning skills. Multi international project management and ability to prioritize multiple priorities/resources.
