We’re looking for a hands-on, passionate Senior GenAI Engineer who thrives on pushing the boundaries of Generative AI and deploying cutting-edge solutions in real-world enterprise environments.
As the Senior GenAI Engineer you’ll lead the development of scalable, production-grade AI systems that drive innovation across the telecoms domain. From integrating LLMs into enterprise workflows to building robust agent-based architectures, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how AI delivers measurable business impact.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, design and develop AI-based solutions to build Viavi's GenAI platform and meet customer project requirements
- Architect and deploy advanced GenAI solutions, integrating LLMs into enterprise workflows at scale
- Build robust RAG pipelines, agent-based systems, and evaluation frameworks that deliver measurable business impact
- Lead technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices in software engineering
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product strategy and translate complex AI concepts into business value
- Ensure responsible AI deployment, embedding ethical and regulatory considerations into every stage of development
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
- Extensive software engineering experience, including experience working in AI/ML and GenAI production environments
- Expert-level Python skills and deep knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and scalable system design
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and agent-based architectures
- Strong understanding of responsible AI, bias mitigation, and compliance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proven success applying AI to telecoms use cases like network analytics, fault prediction, and customer intelligence
- Proficiency with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
