🎯 Your main goal will be to design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade IAM capabilities that secure access for large organizations and unlock adoption of n8n at scale.
To do so, here are your responsibilities:
Ship enterprise IAM features end to endTranslate complex enterprise requirements into secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions across backend and frontend.
Own features through design, implementation, testing, rollout, and maintenance with a high bar for quality and reliability.
Design, build, and consume robust APIs (REST/GraphQL) that power IAM experiences.
Implement and evolve SSO using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect for providers like Okta, Azure AD, and Google.
Extend RBAC, permissions, and dynamic credential models to meet enterprise security and compliance needs.
Develop and maintain SCIM-based provisioning and related lifecycle integrations.
Partner closely with Product and Design to clarify the “why”, explore trade-offs, and craft delightful UX for admins and end users.
Work cross-functionally with Security, Support, and Solutions to ensure features land smoothly in customer environments.
Contribute to product discovery with data, customer feedback, and a pragmatic product mindset.
Write well-tested code using modern testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration, e2e).
Improve performance, reliability, and observability across the stack.
Share knowledge through code reviews, docs, and mentorship to foster a positive team environment.
💻 5+ years building SaaS/web apps: You’ve shipped production software and owned features from concept to deployment.
🟨 Node.js + TypeScript/JavaScript: You write clean, maintainable services and tooling in a modern TypeScript stack.
🧩 Modern frontend (Vue/React/Angular): You can build secure, accessible, and responsive UIs; Vue experience is a plus.
🔧 API design and consumption: You’ve designed and integrated RESTful or GraphQL APIs at scale.
🗄️ Relational databases & SQL: You’re comfortable modeling data and tuning queries, ideally with PostgreSQL.
🔐 Enterprise IAM protocols: You’ve implemented SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SCIM in real products.
🏢 Enterprise feature experience: You’ve delivered RBAC, SSO, or similar capabilities for enterprise customers.
🧪 Modern testing practices: You use tools like Jest, Vitest, or Cypress to maintain high confidence in changes.
🤝 Communication & collaboration: You work effectively with cross-functional partners and give/receive feedback well.
🧠 Curiosity & growth mindset: You love learning, ask great questions, and iterate based on feedback.
☁️ Cloud & containers: You’ve worked with AWS/GCP/Azure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
👐 Open source: You contribute to or actively engage with open-source projects.
⚙️ Workflow automation: You’re familiar with automation concepts or platforms.
