About the role
As a Founding Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing both user-facing and backend systems that power Symbolica’s cutting-edge AI solutions. You’ll take ownership of building and iterating on functional prototypes for potential customer use cases, ensuring seamless end-to-end integration across the stack. Additionally, you’ll work closely with our research team to create interactive interfaces that bring AI models to life.
Your focus
- Developing and managing full-stack applications – from frontend user interfaces to backend services – to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and performance.
- Building, testing, and iterating on functional prototypes to address potential customer needs.
- Enhancing and maintaining Symbolica’s website, ensuring it accurately reflects our brand, research, and technical vision.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative AI-driven solutions.
About you
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript; experience with Rust is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly prototype and deliver production-ready code.
- Experience building scalable, responsive web applications, including design and implementation of RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Experience working on machine learning and/or AI projects is a plus.
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work across diverse teams.
