About
We are looking for talented and experienced Senior Frontend Engineers to join our Product Engineering team. Join Lokalise in our mission to help digital business grow by improving the way companies and people understand each other, together with a global team dedicated to breaking down language barriers and delivering exceptional user experiences. Embark in our journey on one of the teams looking for new talent:
- Home squad (Growth domain - Activation and Retention): Responsible for managing parts of our flagship product, such as seamless User Management, Permissions, Self-serve Onboarding and much more to foster long-term engagement.
- Editing experience squad (Editing experience domain): Responsible for the translation editing experience, allowing our customers to translate and review their content efficiently.
- Metro squad (Localization Process domain): Focused on making localization simple and scalable, helping our customers go global faster and smarter. You’ll work on our recently launched Workflows feature and other core initiatives, leaving your mark on the end-to-end localization experience.

You Will
- Design, build, test, and maintain new features across the application, while improving and supporting existing ones — always with an eye toward clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Act as a champion for operational and engineering excellence, identifying areas for continuous improvement and leading initiatives to address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product & Design to align strategies with broader product and engineering goals.
- Mentor and share feedback with other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Use your product engineering mindset to identify, propose, and champion improvements across the broader product scope.
- Tackle complex issues in UI performance, and accessibility to ensure seamless, high-quality user experiences.
You Must Have
- +5 years of experience in frontend development, with strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, React, modern CSS, semantic HTML, and current web development tools and best practices.
- Experience in building and optimizing high-performance, responsive, and accessible frontend applications.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles and architectural patterns.
- Proven experience in testing, including unit and integration.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, time management and communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic remote startup environment.
It will be considered a significant advantage if you bring
- Experience with server-side rendering BFF framework (e.g. Remix, Next.js).
- Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with rich text editors and including custom plugins and extensions
- Experience on templating systems such as Twig, Handlebars, Mustache
- Proficiency in a11y
