We are a 100+ strong Finance org, with global hubs in Argentina, Netherlands and Malaysia, managing over £500M of annual revenue in our Content practice.  Led by the Global Content CFO and regional Content CFO’s, the numbers we report consolidate 30+ offices and roll up to our parent company S4 Capital.  Akin to our agency promise, the Finance organisation is client-centric, with internal clients across S4, HR, Client, Legal, Operations and Technology

About the Role

The FP&A Controller is based in London and reports to the Head of FP&A. The FP&A team leads the forecasting, analysis and reporting processes across complex cross-functional teams to drive visibility, financial discipline, and ultimately improve bottom-line performance

This is a key role, consolidating, analysing and reporting cost base performance, The role works closely with regional CFOs and their finance teams in addition to a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders and the S4 Group finance team.   

About you

You demonstrate competency and enthusiasm for analysing large data sets from multiple sources. You will have a high attention to detail and be comfortable with areas of ambiguity and are an astute problem solver in the face of them. You will use your financial skills to develop data-driven financial models that provide timely and insightful visibility of the cost base. You have strong communication skills and are able to build constructive relationships with cross functional colleagues globally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the consolidation, analysis and reporting of the Content practise cost base, providing critical oversight of the c4,000 headcount 
  • Assist in preparing materials for the leadership team and the S4 Group team, including board decks and other performance updates
  • Support the development of forecasts, and create and maintain financial models to support planning and month-end processes
  • Working cross-functionally to track and report cost saving initiatives
  • Manage, support and develop an FP&A Analyst

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years FP&A experience 
  • CCAB or equivalent 
  • Proven experience of headcount and cost analysis in a multi-currency environment; experience working in a creative or production agency an advantage
  • Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance and trend analysis
  • Experience consolidating and analyzing large, and often, ambiguous data sets from multiple sources
  • Experience of using and interrogating headcount reporting tools such as Workday and confident adapting to different financial reporting tools; solid spreadsheet skills are a must
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across a wide array of stakeholders globally
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Comfortable working in an environment going through change, able to be flexible and adaptable
