What We Need from Yü
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Trading, Finance, Operations, Customer Services, and Regulatory teams
- Act as the key interface between the business and technical teams
- Translate commercial propositions (e.g. Flex Tariffs, dynamic pricing, EV tariffs, demand-side response incentives) into clear, deliverable billing requirements
- Support flex billing outputs in line with commercial vision.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog aligned to business goals, customer outcomes, and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with technical and delivery teams to deliver high-quality billing outputs.
- Define and maintain billing reconciliation (charging, credits, adjustments)
- Ensure billing solutions are accurate, scalable, and transparent for customers
- Support testing, release management, and operational readiness
- Identify and mitigate billing risks and revenue assurance issues
- Continuously improve billing processes to support future flexibility offerings
About Yü

- Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex or regulated environment
- Strong understanding of energy billing or complex pricing structures
- Experience with Flex product structures
- Experience with smart meter data, half-hourly billing, or time-of-use tariffs
- Ability to translate complex business needs into user stories
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in Agile environments
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Experience in UK energy market (desirable)
- Knowledge of billing platforms such as Junifer, ICE, Kraken, SAP IS-U or similar
