Profile Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. This critical role will support our internal & external financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will report directly to the Director of Accounting and Tax, and work closely with other finance team members to provide insightful financial analysis and reporting for our diverse portfolio of SaaS companies.

Your responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review Group and subsidiary financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • Technical Accounting: Support on complex accounting topics, including revenue recognition, business combinations, equity accounting, and other technical areas.
  • Policy and Memo Development: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on new accounting standards and pronouncements, assess their impact on the organization, and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability. Identify opportunities for improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting.
  • Month-End Close:  Own the month-end close process of assigned brands or entities, including journal entries, payments, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and management of external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Brand Accounting In-House: Transition outsourced accounting of Brands to in-house Central Finance, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of closing in local GAAP
  • ERP Implementation: Support the implementation of a new ERP system to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Tax Filing: Prepare and file US sales tax, VAT to ensure compliance with all tax regulations

What You bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting or a related field, preferably within a multi-entity, multinational corporate environment in SaaS or technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting standards, US GAAP or German GAAP knowledge is a Plus.
  • Analytical, organized, and problem-solver with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in English, German is a Plus.
