About the Role

The External Communications Team is accountable for all earned content relating to our London listing, global presence and our strategic progress. The team manages all media engagement and works with our most senior executives and international colleagues to tell the Haleon story globally. Team members are creative, energetic and keen to embrace new communications practices to tell our stories.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work alongside the Head of External Communications and Global Head of Communications to manage all financial communications.

  • Drive the delivery of corporate stories (proactive and reactive) relating to strategic change, transformation and technology.

  • Work with peers to collaborate across content areas (inclduing social media) and to support on crisis and issues preparedness.

  • Be a core member of the broader Global Communications Team, which includes working closely with our digital content team and internal communications team.

  • Be an accessible and trusted point of contact for core business and trade media.

  • You will be supported by a corporate communications manager and you will be a coach to other more junior members of the global corporate communications team.

Qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Highly experienced corporate communications professional with significant experience in listed businesses, ideally in the UK.

  • Experience bringing financial and corporate stories to life through a consumer lens.

  • Excellent writing skills and a highly strategic mindset.

  • Creative and collaborative and used to working across global teams and in a complex matrix.

  • Group media relations; established media handling skills and a global media network.

  • Experience working with senior leaders and able to build trusted relationships

  • Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and/or health industries.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.

  • Highly organised and attention to detail.

  • Team player with a proven ability to work with cross-functional and multi-stakeholder teams.
