To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Oxford Finance team. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options. 
The Role
Shaw Gibbs is a growing professional services group, and our Group Finance function is scaling to match. We are creating a new Senior Financial Analyst role that will sit at the heart of our FP&A capability and play an integral part in developing and maturing our core planning, forecasting and analysis processes as the group continues to expand.
This is a hands-on, build-oriented position rather than a purely reporting one. A central part of the remit will be the implementation and ongoing management of new systems, including a cash flow forecasting tool and budgeting and forecasting platform, embedding both into the rhythm of the finance function and making them genuinely useful to decision-makers across the group.
The successful candidate will help shape how FP&A is done at Shaw Gibbs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support with the implementation, configuration and ongoing management of the Group’s new cash flow forecasting tool, ensuring it produces timely, accurate and actionable forecasts.
  • Own the roll-out and administration of a new budgeting and forecasting platform, from set-up and data integration through to user adoption across the finance function and wider business.
  • Develop, document and mature core FP&A processes, including the annual budget cycle and periodic reforecasts.
  • Produce insightful monthly management reporting and variance analysis, translating financial data into clear commentary for partner and leadership audiences.
  • Support ad hoc value creation projects across the Group, partnering with the business to build the analysis that underpins growth and efficiency initiatives.
  • Drive the continued development of our internal operational and financial performance dashboards, acting as the bridge between the business and our external developers so that user feedback becomes tangible improvement.
  • Continuously identify and drive improvements in FP&A systems, data flows and ways of working as the Group scales.

About You
• You have a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience, preferably with an FP&A or commercial finance background. 
• You have advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills. 
• You have excellent analytical ability with a track record of turning data into clear, decision-useful insight. 
• You are a confident communicator able to present financial information to senior, non-financial stakeholders.
