Duration: 6 months

About the role:

We are hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to join BSI’s Record to Report (R2R) team, reporting to the R2R Tower Lead.

This is a key role within the Finance function, responsible for leading month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring strong financial controls, and delivering high-quality reporting across multiple regions. You will oversee complex accounting areas including IFRS adjustments and intercompany transactions, while also driving process improvements and supporting team development.

This position combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership responsibility in a global, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, categorised, and understood.

  • Manage IFRS adjustments including provisions, leasing costs, and other technical accounting areas.

  • Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations across APAC, Americas, and Europe in line with Group policies.

  • Prepare, post, and review journal entries in accordance with internal MJE policies.

  • Perform analytical reviews of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow accounts, providing insightful commentary and integrity checks.

  • Review and resolve Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely issue resolution and appropriate accounting treatment.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statutory outputs as required.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Support the standardisation and harmonisation of R2R processes and proactively identify improvement opportunities.

  • Act as a key finance contact for Financial Controllers, Commercial teams, and other FBS functions.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure effective end-to-end processes and timely information flow.

  • Manage day-to-day team workload, allocate resources, monitor KPIs, and support trainee accountant development.

  • Undertake additional duties as required to support wider finance and business priorities.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in general ledger or financial accounting.

  • Experience with consolidation and intercompany accounting.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong MS Office capability.

  • Excellent analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to lead, prioritise workload, and demonstrate ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to other finance processes (O2C, P2P).

  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, or Concur.
