About The Job
As a senior member of the Service Company team you will be responsible for supporting the accurate, timely production of financial reporting for the MS Amlin Service Companies. This includes both Internal Reporting to the MS&AD Group and Service Company Management, Statutory filings to Companies House and Returns to Regulators.
The key areas of responsibilities will be focused around Service Company reporting and management of a small team.
What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing
- Overall responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles for the Service Companies
- Preparation of the underlying books and records, including posting transactions, reviewing and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, managing intercompany processes and cash transaction processes
- Performing key controls in line with MS Amlin control standards and JSox requirements
- Understanding and explaining results to Group and Service Company stakeholders
- Supporting the Finance Operations Team in resolving legacy issues, proactively liaising with stakeholders to identify, investigate and resolve data integrity and reporting issues and reduce reconciliation backlogs
- Providing guidance and assistance to fellow MS AUL colleagues
- Supervising and supporting the Service Company team
- Statutory Accounts to sign off by external auditors and stakeholders
- Preparation and review of Internal MI and Regulatory Reporting (DFSA)
- Responsible for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Group Reporting (FCCS Pathway, FCCS 2)
- Management papers and additional information for MENA, AUS and AHL Board members
- MENA Annual budget
- Production of financial information ensuring that data produced remains relevant is subject to proper analysis, explanation and control and always reflects the activities of the organisation
- Projects and ad-hoc requests, production of answers and resolutions to requests from key finance stakeholders. Projects will centre on MS Amlin’s continuous aim to improve the standard of its financial reporting in terms of quality and speed of delivery
- Continuous review of all financial and operational outputs, ensuring that adequate controls and processes are employed, assumptions and reviews are documented and procedures are up-to-date and relevant
- Stakeholder management with customers and suppliers related to the syndicate financial reporting process. This network of relationships will require close management
This role is based within the Finance Team in London reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.
