We’re looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with partners across Deliveroo to ensure we are making efficient, data-driven decisions that evaluate the effectiveness of our products and unlock new avenues for growth.

You’ll be joining the Finance & Strategy team. We accelerate the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions, partnering across the company to improve the profitability and scalability of our business model.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Consumer Product Impact: Work on high-impact consumer products at scale, evaluating their effectiveness and developing creative growth strategies.

• Strategic Modelling: Support key initiatives by building custom financial models tailored to specific business needs to improve strategic decision-making.

• Framework Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new processes and investment decision-making frameworks in a fast-paced environment.

• KPI Analysis: Track and analyse key business and financial KPIs, uncovering trends to assess current and future business risks and opportunities.

• Operational Scaling: Support special projects to automate and scale investment frameworks, reporting tools, and cost-tracking methodologies.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with teams across the business to provide the financial insights necessary for high-stakes operational decisions.

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

• Finance Background: 2+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking, ideally within the high-growth technology sector.

• Technical Excel Skills: High proficiency in Excel is required, specifically the ability to build robust financial models and perform complex analyses.

• Data Curiosity: Proficiency in SQL (or a strong willingness to learn) to manipulate data sets and uncover hidden insights.

• Budget Management: Experience managing budgets for various teams or functional areas within an organisation.

• Communication & Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to build cross-functional relationships and communicate financial concepts clearly.

• Adaptability: The ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment that values autonomy and ownership.
